| At home grooming gone TERRIBLY bad! So it's super hot in SoCal today and my parents have no ac, we usually don't need it. I couldn't stand the thought of Kaji having to stand this heat in his shaggy curly cottony coat. So I braved myself and decided to trim his hair to give him some relief. I trimmed his body with the clippers with really good results and he was pretty good about it. But then I thought I should trim his head and face to match the body, but only a trim. Boy was that a HUGE mistake! I trimed the top of his head and now my boy looks horrible! I don't know how to continue now. He looks like a balding man because the top of his head is cut really short (he did squirm a lot) and his ears and face still have lots of hair. I don't know how to fix it or even it out so he at least looks decent!!! I know it's hair and it'll grow back but I feel guilty for doing this to him and having him look absolutely horrible!! I'm to embarrased to even post a picture to let you all see what I've done.

| I also groom Toby, Lola is too young to have much done yet. There have been times when I've mulched Toby to the point I haven't even wanted to take him outdoors to potty! I know when I'm the one who has done it, it always seems to look so much worse to me than to anyone else. I think the best you can do is probably try to even him up a bit and pray it grows out fast!! Remember, our babies are beautiful no matter what!!!

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | That is so funny. Please forgive me for laughing out loud for several minutes. There's not a skin mommy on the planet who hasn't at some time or another done that to her own child. I had to keep my child out of school and rush her to the beauty shop. I cried and cried. Just buy your baby a new toy and say your sorry, it will be OK. |

| I'm so sorry , but can help but laugh , U r not the first or the last. I have done it more than once. I don't use clipper, I just use a med size hair scissor, and it works better for me , cause I have more control. buy a hat for when u go out. Please just stay far from the ears LOl, mommy. bark@ulater !!! manina, miley, max |

| Flipflopsusie and Rerun 201 you two are sweet! Everyone at home thinks it's not so bad, but he has lost his teddy bear look. His body has nice short hair so he doesn't get so hot anymore. I told my roommate ans she said she'd help me even it out (she grooms her dog herself and has done so for 4 years). I'm really hoping she could fix it!!! lrichardsonrnc that's not a bad idea. He isn't partial to toys he likes sweatbands or wristbands. My brothers just got him some from their roadtrip I think I'll let him have them now.

| So glad I read your post... I just did the SAME thing!! I was sick of Gracie's hair always being in her face and with the new second yorkie her topknot wasn't staying in (too much playing! ) so I tried to trim it... and it is horrible!! My solution is to wait a few weeks and then she is getting a professional trim. Maybe they can fix her The sad thing is... it's not the first bad hair cut I have given her... and it probably won't be the last. |

| Hee hee sorry I had to laugh too! I'm sure Kaji is still adorable! Maybe your roommate can just shave him down evenly and let it all grow back one length? It's ok though, at least Kaji is more comfortable now. Yes it's been very hot the last few days, we don't have ac here either!

| Last December Piper had hip surgery and it was pretty upsetting to see my baby with an incision and stitches. To make matters even worse the back quarter of her body was completely shaved. Both front legs were shaved for her IVS. Poor Piper looked like she had been run over with a lawn mower. It took a couple months for the hair to grow back but now Piper is just as cute as ever. Don't worry no matter how bad you think your baby looks the hair will grow back before you know it.
