What brush is better? Madan or CC???
 
I am in need of a new brush and decided to get a better quality then just the pet store brushes.

BUT, which is better? I will be honest that I will choose wihich is the less expensive of the two.

Does anyone sell these here on YT and maybe have a sale going on?

Maybe your title should've been which is cheaper. LOL.

The absolute BEST ever brush is the Chris Christenson WOODEN pin brush. Hands down the best money I have spent on brushes and well worth the 25 dollar price tag. It literally glides through mats. I use this brush, then a pin brush, and finish with a greyhound comb.

I sell Madan Pin Brushes.:D The main difference from CC brushes from Madan is that the head of the Madan is bigger & the cushion softness. If you prefer a brush w/a smaller head, CC is the way to go. I have the wooden pin brush by CC & it's perfect for the leg & face areas. But...I prefer using the Madan.:)

It is wonderful...even on thick silky biewer hair. Reggie is a walking mat ball. I am serious....this thing goes right through those w/o pulling. No one cries when I brush hair any more.

There's different cushions, Red & Purple have medium softness, it would be nice for thick silky Biewer hair. It is considerably firmer than Blue or Green which is recommended for Yorkies. I have sold a few to Biewer owners & they are very happy w/the Madan. It has 22mm pins, so if you're growing their hair, it'll be perfect.
Plus it's very affordable, you can try both the CC & Madan.:) I sell it for $19 including shipping.

I love the CC wooden pin brush is the best. I have the CC gold series pin brush and the madden brush and I use the pin on Pixie my silky coated one and the wooden on my cottony coats and it works great on them.

I have the blue Madan pin brush and I love it -- so much so that I had to order a second one (for me)! :) I bought them from mimimomo and her prices are much better than other sites that sell them.

I have found it to work well on my adults and puppies as well. What is funny, when I am brushing the Yorkies, my Jack Russell with a short smooth coat, gets up and pushes herself in my lap trying to displace whoever I am brushing. She loves being brushed with the Madan brush too. So, I always give her a turn along with the Yorkies. She really does think she is one of them.

Breny, I have both; the CC gold and a Madan Green (softer). But, when I use them is dependent on the type coat and what I'm wanting to accomplish. The CC gold I take into the ring with me. The Madan Green I use when I'm smoothing out a coat....But, for drying a coat I use an Isinis....brush much like a Mason Pearson....but, much, much cheaper.....

I have both as well. I really like the CC pin brush--I hope to see the wooden brush at some future dog show....which we don't have here until Long Beach ...The Maddan brush is nice for the puppies.

You can order them through CC or Cherrybrook.....prices I think are the same....maybe cheaper than purchasing them at a show.

The brush I use the most is one I purchased from Ashton Enterprises. It's wooden and they'll put your kennel name on it....

I havent tried a CC brush but use the Madan brush on Juicy and it leaves her cottony coat very smooth and shiny.

Breny, CC brushes can only be purchased either through their website or through Cherrybrook and a couple of other show vendors. The most expensive CC brush runs about $50.00 at least when I purchased it.

I just ordered some Madan brushes from Jenny-mimimomo - and they are very nice. I will be honest and tell you they aren't as good a quality as the wooden CC pin brushes in my opinion as I have one of those too but for the price they are really great. So I think it depends on the investment you want to make and your original post said money would matter. The Madan is a good brush and like Jenny said in her post the head is a bit bigger than the CC brush. I also have the CC boars bristle wooden brush but it doesn't really work well on my Yorkies hair - they have silky hair and the pin brush just works better for me.

The best boar bristle brush that you can buy and most yorkie exhibitors use them, are Mason-Pearson. They are a bit pricey, $100.00 brand new, but if you go on e-bay you can probably find them a bit cheaper.
