| ![]() I have been a member of YT for month or so now and I have read numerous posts raving about Minksheen. I have yet to order it, but so far it looks pretty promising. Shiloh definitely has a cotton coat and most of the time we have to keep him saved to prevent matting; even though I brush him every day and he gets weekly baths (in fact he has a grooming appointment in a couple of weeks). No matter how diligent I am about his grooming with his texture mats are inevitable. I was wondering if another other YTers have used Minksheen on their cotton coated babies and how it worked out for them. I was kind of hoping that if I bought the Minksheen and started using it regularly while his hair is short that when it does eventually grow out will it be silkier/shinier? Don't get me wrong I love Shiloh no matter what kind of coat he has. His hair is so fuzzy and soft its like snuggling with a teddy bear lol. I just really hate that we have to keep him cut so short year round, especially when it's cold outside. Not to mention constantly having to de-mat him or get him shaved has got to be pretty traumatic for my little guy ![]() |

| ![]() Mine have cotton coats and I use Minksheen but I also use pantene conditioner and leave the conditioner on 10 mins before rinsing. This leaves Jewels hair with a silky texture

| ![]() I use MinkSheen & Momo has cottony coat as well. I also use Nova Pearls Moisturizing Cream Rinse by Tomlyn afterwards & his hair is almost smooth as silk. It stays manageable, tangle free & soft for about 3-4 days... ![]() ![]()

| ![]() Chachi is there a certain kind of Pantene conditioner you use? I actually have the Ice Shine by Pantene in my bathroom right now as I use it myself lol. Oooh thanks for the tip Minimomo I didn't realize that I could get a sample! I am requesting one right away. And if I like it I will definitely give my business to our fellow YTer ![]() I am keeping my fingers crossed that hopefully after this next grooming appointment to have him shaved that with Minksheen plus a good conditioner will make those appointments a thing of the past. |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | ![]() Morgan has a cotton coat and i've been using minksheen for at least a year. I do not add a conditioner afterwards. Her coat is still very much cottony and unmanageable when it grows out more then 3 inches. So judging by what the others have said i think its all in the conditioner.
