My groomer has a truck/van equipped with everything. He comes to the house every two weeks to groom 3 of my 4 dogs. It is very convenient for my dogs and me. He was charging me $35 each and now because of the economy he raised it to $45 each  I thought it was a bit much since he does do 3 dogs in one house. So now I will get them done once every two months. I will do the rest myself. |
Mazee was groomed about 3 weeks ago and it cost $32, this was for an actual cut, not just trim her up. I love my groomer, I can drop her off before 9 and pick her up by 11am usually. They are great with Mazee, and jokingly call her the drama queen because of how she done when they first done her nails, lol |
My groomer charges $22 which includes a bath, ear cleaning, whatever haircut we want (we do a very short puppy cut), and nail clipping. We've only been once so far, but Nikko didn't seem too traumatized by it. :-) Lauren & Nikko |
My groomer charges $26.00 for a bath, blow dry, brush/combing, nails, glands, ear hair, hot oil treatment, a bow for the girls and a bandana for Murfee. I usually take 2 at a time and give her a tip when they are done. She's very good, easy to get into and fast...it takes her between 2 1/2 and 3 hours to get 2 of mine done. |
I pay like $38 - $39 plus the tip. (Which depends on how much I have at the time.). That's for everything. |
we go once every 4 weeks. and its $27 per dog plus tip. we are the first dogs in the morning and they are there for about 90 mins. My 5 yr maltese and my 8 mos yorkie share the crate at the groomer so they keep each other company. oh, And they get full groom, including bath. |
The extra $25 does seem like a rip off! My groomer works out of their vet clinic (this is their 2nd groomer, the 1st 'retired' when she had her baby) and I have never paid more that $55 including tip per dog - I have 2 babies. For both grooming and 'vacation', when you find a good one you trust and love, you don't want to let them go! |
At my Vets... $35.00 and she works with the vet in his office, so I fell confident and of course she does a good job. |
I don't know the details. but I took Dolly and Shorty to the groomers every four weeks. Dolly gets a maintenance cut(trying to grow out her hair), nails trimed, a bath, hot oil treatment, teeth brushing. and Shorty(short haired chihuahua) gets a bath, hot oil treatment, nails trimed and teeth brushing. and for both of them total $48. its a really good price IMO, plus the groomer lady is so nice to my girls(although we haven't been with her that long), so I usually leave her a nice tip! |
Oh My gosh! I just came across this thread and I can't believe how much I pay to get my Stewie groomed. He's shorthaired and it comes to $75 a visit!!! I was in New Jersey and just moved back to Philly. If anyone can recommend a groomer in Center City Philadelphia, please let me know. I could bring him more oftern to be groomed if it were in the $30 range! :) Thanks! |
Lordy it sounds like I need to get into the grooming business! Wowsers the fee's! I pay ZERO dollars as I groom my girls myself. They are in full coats |

We pay about $40 but have yet to find a groomer we like. (we have only taken her 2 times so far). She has an appointment in March for a new place that I think seems better. We usually trim her up between grooming so it doesn't cost so much. |
15 to 20. Depending on what I want done and she comes get them and brings them home when I need her too!! :). I have 3 that are groomed every 4 to 10 weeks. My 2 little dogs are groomed often because I like the "clean shaven" look, My sheltie is kept in a lion cut so he only needs to go every 8 to 10 weeks. |
