:D YES !!!!!!! ours hightails it under the couch when u say BATH....first he looks "r u kidding me" and then u go to pick him up and he is under the couch.. that is 11 years later still the same .. ONCE HE IS IN THE SINK HE IS FINE :):animal-pa |
My Pixie is actually ok with being bathed..she doesn't like the shower too much..I fill a bowl with warm water and she will quite happily sit in that while I rinse her coat with the shower..I use a cup to quickly rinse her head, sometimes she will even lie down in the bowl of water with her little head resting on the side! sooo cute... |
Bailey will "tolerate" a bath and she doesn't run from me BUT those radar-like ears go back on her head and her eyes look so sad during the whole time... |
As soon as Finnigan knows its bath time he starts shaking. I think he's terrified of them. He did fine as a puppy, but for some reason after he "hit puberty" he turned on them. He'll try to scratch his way out of the sink/bathtub whatever I'm trying to bath him in. We've tried treats/soothing voices nothings worked to make him better. |
We are in the hate catgory. The hair dryer is even worse; she acts like I am going to beat her and just yaps her head off. Finally, we found that if my husband stands by with treats she will let me blow her dry in between treats. |
Thor shakes like a leaf the entire time. You'd think he was being thown into boiling oil. He does, however, enjoy the hair dryer and being brushed afterwards, so at least it ends nicely. I also picked up a tip from another member: I microwave a towel for a minute right before I take him out so he can roll in something toasty. |
Canyon is really good taking a bath, he just stands there and let's me do what I need to do, however, when bath is over and I whip out the blow dryer, he goes crazy and it's a battle. |
Baths Jolie' loves to bathe!! When I bathe the others before her she sits their and waits for her turn. |
I never had troubles giving a bath to my puppies and adults . |
My Coco loves the bath. He just doesn't like the water in his face. Pebbles loves it too. She even takes drinks from the faucet. Trixie on the other hand. BIG TROUBLE!! She is just a baby only 14 weeks and has had a few baths but she scratches me up so bad. My forearms get mangled. She does anything to get out of that sink. We tried the tub and that's worse. I end up getting soaked just giving her a bath. She's only 7lbs. and I can't control her. My 2 big ones love the blow dryer. They actually roll on their backs. I guess she is getting used to it just by watching Coco and Pebbles and they are not getting hurt. She will come closer. Sometimes they are worse then kids. Gotta love 'em. :aimeeyorkCOCO :aimeeyorkPEBBLES :aimeeyorkTRIXIE |
Turk doesn't hate them, he more or less tolerates them...like a good boy. I'm thankful he doesn't fight us on baths. |
Mia is only 4 months and she already knows her towel. as soon as she see's the towel she knows is bath time. She is 4 lbs so I hold her in one hand and work with the other but I'll tell you I end up just as wet. She is getting better with the blower every time I dry her is better. I think she'll get used to the bath too. |
I just gave Cassi a bath today and it seems like she enjoys it. I usually bathe her in the bathroom sink and would put the stopper in and let the water rise. She likes to lay in the water, especially when it's nice and warm. She's not too crazy when it's time to wash her face, but I leave that to the end. As far as blow drying, she tolerates it. ;) |
yep, and she knows the word, we refer to bath as the b-word around the house, otherwise she will take off running and hide under my bed LOL |

This is so Bria doesn't really care about a bath but boyyy does she hate that blow dryer |
Big T acts crazy! Big T (all 5 lbs) doesn't like the cleaning process but loves to be clean!!!:p After a good shower Teddy loves to run around the house like a lunatic.............man! he is crazy:D:eek::D:animal36 I just love the way his face looks when he is wet:eek: Just look at his avatar and you'll see what I mean:animal36 |
odie runs whenever i tell him its time for his bath. sometimes he'll wait until he hears the water turn on and then he goes and lays in my bed trying to hide his head! lol |
Samson hates the bath, when I pull out his tub he runs. it takes both my husband and I to pin him down. He fights to get out the entire time. he only weighs 4lbs so there really isn't a huge fight  Then when I am toweling him off he jumps from my hands and rubs his body all over the floor. he is better than when I first brought him home. after his bath he would alway eliminate himself on the floor as soon as I let him go:eek: that was a little anoying. |
Lilly lovesss taking baths. I always ask her "you wanna take a bath?!" and she gets all excited jumping up and down and following me around everywhere. I try to make it a really enjoyable time for her. Usually she'll get really sleepy and just sit there and then when I'm blow drying her, she usually just dozes off. |
riley loves baths! probably because it takes me less than 5 minutes since he's so tiny & his hair is silky :) he'll sit with me for the blowdrying part but he gets squirmy if it takes longer than 10 minutes. i gave madison her first bath the other night and she doesn't like it as much as riley does :p it took me longer to blowdry her than riley cus shes so fluffy! i use to use tropiclean puppy on riley before now i've switched over to pethead because the whole line smells yummy  |
Little Roxy HATES baths too, she doesn't like it in either the sink of the bath but I find the bath easier as she can get out of the sink too easily. When it comes to blow drying she hides her head under my arm and lets me blow dry her body:D |
Wrigley and Camden tolerate a bath ok, they just stand there. They don't fight or try and escape. Crosley on the other hand, hates it and tries to climb out! The funny thing, Camden loves the shower! If you turn the water on and don't shut the door fast enough, she will jump in with you! |
I have jsut been a lucky lady I guess. I did come here for advice when kirby was a babe.....18 weeks was his first bath with me.I use the shower spray in the untility sink with a place for him to stand when appropriate. HE has LOVEd that blow dryer from day one. After all is done he is sqirly and free. SOmetimes in nice weather I put a sweatchirt on him and let him air dry. with his cut , he looks the exact same after he dries.:aimeeyork |
Tucker hates them he tries to climb out of the sink the entire time  |
Pao hates bath when he was a puppy. He will scratch, climb back to scratch and climb all over again just to get out of the tub. I always come out with red scratches all over. I also had to carry him while I was blowdrying him and he only likes the lowest setting of the blowdryer so I have to carry him with one hand for quite a while before he actually dries up. Now he is 2.5 years old he is getting better. I think he is starting to enjoy his bath. I never wash his head and face directly because he hates it. I use a washcloth with a little soap and then clean with the washcloth after. As for blowdrying, he'd tolerate being on the bathroom plushy mat now but I still have to use low setting. |
Dolce wasn't very fond of her first bath. She tried to climb out of the sink. I even made sure there was warm water in the bottom of it. Hopefully she will be better with her next one.:aimeeyork |
sasha hateeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssssss taking baths! hates! what i did this last time was put her in the tub (kitchen sink to shallow and she hops right out) and didn't fill it up. i just kept the water running with no drain plug and used a cup to wash her - pouring the water over her. she seemed to like that better than the tub with water in it. afterwards i hold her in a big towl and she sits in my lap in the towl for about 30mins drying. the hair dryer is OUT OF THE QUESTION and i can't stand to make her upset using it so i just make sure the heat is up on bath day and make is as quick as possible. |
I don't think Piper hates them, but when he sees me setting up for his bath he kind of hides. Once he's in he's just fine. His favorite part is getting down, and running wild through the house trying to get the rest of the water off of him. |
