				   | So upsetting...I can't understand how people let things get to that stage. I also can't imagine being the groomer when one of those poor souls came into the shop.

				   | I have groomed aboout 20 some dogs in that condition...at first i felt so bad amd listened to their sob story of how they could not afford grooming. So i gave them a discount...and then saw the dog in the same condition 2 yrs later....then i got angry and charged an arm and a leg.

				   | That is sooo sad...even if these people can't afford to pay for grooming, with a little money, time, patience and practice they can always groom their dogs themselves. How much can a pair of clippers from Wal-Mart and a pair of nail clipper cost..really..

				   | Hi I am new and this is my first post. Yes, it is sad about these dogs and they should get daily or at the very least weekly grooming. However, I can also see that some folks don't know about grooming when they get a pet that needs extensive shaving and combing like many long hair or curly hair breed dogs. Whether they buy from a breeder of any kind,(hobby,petstore,backyard....etc) those that sell the pets should inform the potential buyer about the grooming intensity and complexity of the animal they are interested in buying. After the animal gets in that situation they may be too embarrased to take the animal to a professional groomer and too ignorant about how to use a clipper. Most clippers don't come with information that tells the user how exactly to get an animal used to them nor do they give example pictures of how to use them and how to style the animal. There are only a couple of books that I have seen on the market about hair styles for dogs and I have never seen one for Yorkies. I have bought many books on Yorkies and none of them give details on how to do crackers nor do they show how to give a Yorky clip of any kind. |

				   | Those pictures are horrible, and there are a few pet owners that have let their pets get like that, but most of those pictures are of dogs that have been rescued from puppy mills. That is the common look of long haired dogs in puppy mills. Those places do not care for their animals at all, the only thing they care about is that they can breed the dogs and sell puppies. |
