Groomer has it OMG
 

I taped yesterday's episode and was just watching it, the one about the shelter dogs. Was anyone able to watch it without crying? Poor Teddy, I sat there and cried my eyes out. Artist may not have all the grooming talent, but he sure has one heck of a big heart! Give your fur kids an extra hug today, because there are so many less fortunate!

I watched most of it...Feel asleep before the adoption part...Did people show up and was it successful?

OMG I know I cryed through that program last night!!! I was so excited when it showed he was adopted!!!:D:D

I have no use for someone who has to put someone else down to lift themself up.

I watched it this morning and I cried, and gave my baby who was sleeping on my lap extra cuddles. I was so pissed at Kathleen who passed teddy by. I knew that Artist was going to take that dog and groom him. It made me cry even more when that dog got all happy after it was groomed, and it had a little bounce while it was walking.

I'm so glad that he got adopted in the end, that little boy loves him to death, and you can tell teddy loves him just as much right back.

I just finished watching the tape of it. It was the best Groomer Has It so far. Artist has such a big heart, what a guy! The ending was great. I loved that they showed the family who got little Teddy. It was a match made in Heaven.

I watched it and thought it was pretty good. At first I was so upset because they were going to send someone home for not getting the dog adopted out and I thought that was just cruel. I was so relieved that it ended differently.

I agree with you about Jonathan!!! I love Artist!! He is a sweetie!!

Glad to know it had a happy ending...I know it makes for an interesting show, but I hate it when any of the judges are mean...:mad::mad::mad:

I thought the whole premise was crazy - what did finding a home for a shelter dog have to do with grooming? I mean someone had to get Teddy and shave him bald, right? I also thought that putting the e-Collar around him didn't help matters. Couldn't they have waited until AFTER the open house to put him in that collar?

I was, therefore, very happy that Artist wasn't sent home since he was the only selfless one in the group. For him it was all about the dogs - not winning the challenge. :)

I think a "shelter dog" is most deserving of a super, professional grooming more then any other dog...

I thought it was AWESOME for them to take them to the shelter and make them pretty so they'd have a better chance to get adopted! I only wish there were more tv shows that would get people into the shelters so they'd find a wonderful companion:thumbup:.

I'm getting so disgusted by Kathleen; she's SO mercenary. She never ONCE cared whether that guy who was looking at her dog really felt comfortable with it or the dog with him; all she cared about was winning. And she didn't even offer that maybe he'd be interested in one of the other dogs!!! Just shows what kind of person she is. I sure hope she doesn't win, even though I think she's a really good groomer.

I agree with the sentiments about Jonathon, but I think he's extremely professional and a really good groomer and has a lot of knowledge.

And Artist...whatta guy! Remember the episode a few weeks back when the pet psychic or whatever she was, told him that his dog told her that it's grooming experience was not pleasant? And Artist really took it to heart; that made me really appreciate him. Since then, he's really seemed to change and it was so, so good of him to turn the one couple over to Jorge....even though he was disappointed, he still did it. AND he chose Teddy when Kathleen didn't!

And Jorge! He's just the greatest I think! He totally cracks me up and it was so sweet of him to go over and help Artist with his dog after he was done with his own. Those two you really know care more about the dogs than just winning. And off the subject of the show, I really like the way Jorge stuck up for Tatum O'Neal recently when she got into trouble, saying how very much she was devastated by the death of her dog and what good care she took of him. It's nice to see that he didn't say anything derogatory about her when she's down!

I love this show; I thought it would be kind of lame, but I think they've done a great job with it!

I watched this episode in horror!! I thought how irresponsible that they link the groomers staying with manipulating people into adopting a dog...and then poor Artist!!!

I watched the whole thing and when Kathleen's dog got adopted, I said...that's it. I can't watch this show any more. NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED!!

So when Artist got to stay :D I changed my mind (a little). I'll still watch and I was happy they gave updates on all the adoptees.

I still don't like Kathleen though. I don't know who should win, but I know who shouldn't. Her treatment of that ChowChow was heartbreaking.

i thought the show would be cool. i told a show friend of mine. she said it will make us groomers look awful, wow !!! she was 100 % right, it's awful. Dyanna's Yorkie and Professional Pet Grooming :mad:

I myself love to watch that show. :smile: I almost cried when I thought Artist was going home. What he said when he looked @ Teddy about making him feel better cause he deserved that, was so....sweet. :) He even suggested to the older couple to take a look @ Gertrude, Jorge's dog. Who ended up adopting Gertrude.

Kathleen & Jonathan might actually be the better groomers but I don't think they have the big hearts & the kind souls like Artisit and Jorge do.

I hope Artist or Jorge ends up winning. :woof:

We really hope that Jorge wins!! We love him!!! Tumi loves uncle Jorge soo much since he makes her feel pretty and he is the best groomer ever!;)

I almost cried too when I thought they were going to make him leave and I thought "how unfair, when he had the hardest dog to groom and he really helped get Gertrude adopted. And then I DID cry when they said he didn't have to leave, LOL!!! I was SO HAPPY and I thought it was the BEST thing they could have done. I really like the show and I hope they'll do it again.

As a groomer, I watch it all the time. I was so happy when he got to stay tonight. I hope he wins it all. I'd hire him in a snap if I could!

John said he did not want to drive around in a van. "I'm a groomer, not a driver". He should not win. He does not need or want the grand prize grooming van. He just wants to say he won...Artist really needs the van to make a living for himself and his young son. If he does not win, I hope some celebrity will step up and give him a van. He is honest, and has the heart of a true animal lover. He needs to win, the other 2 do not...they are both already established and groomers to "the stars".
Artist needs it, and I hope he wins it all.

I saw it saturday night too and was glad that Kathleen got eliminated.
I like ARtist and Jorge...those two would be tough to pick for a winner. I think it will get down to those two and can't wait to see who wins next week. That should be fun at the doggie park. :D
I think it is a cute show.

i know Jorge is an established groomer but i still want him to win..i know him personally since he grooms Tumi and I know he is super talented..i am picky with groomers and I am so glad I don't have to worry about anything with Jorge..plus, tumi loves uncle Jorge.;)

Did you guys see last weeks when they were all sitting around the table eating and Jonathan said something to Artist about making lots of money off of his celebrity clients and Artist said something like, he doesn't care about that, that he would groom Shelter Dogs to make them look good and make money that way. (I wish I could remember the whole short conversation between those two.)

But it really......made me again think what a great person Artist & I must say Jorge is also compared to Jonathan.

I don't know any of the groomers on the show personally, but I am all for Artist winning! I don't care for Jorge and Jonathan's personalities.

YEP.... One of my favorite shows right now. Honestly I would of liked to have seen Kathleen win, but now that she is gone I am rooting for Artist. However, my brain tells me that Johnathan will probably win. I think he is too arrogant, and a show off. Jorge is pretty good too, but not as good with the people skills. :aimeeyork

Yea, that made me soo mad!! Jonathon is such a jerk and only wants the title. I don't care for Jorge too much. Artist is such a great guy! He really cares about the dogs and wants to win for the rite reasons. He truly deserves to win! I'm rooting for him!

I am rooting for Artist too. He has such a big heart and loves animals. I think he deserves to win.
