bows in boys hair? how many of my fellow YTers put bows in their boys' hair?? my bf keeps telling me that it's too girly, but i really want to grow out the hair on Kash's head and tie it up... i don't even necessarily need to use a bow. i would be satisfied with just a hair tie/rubber band thingy. but apparently, that's still too girly? oh and can i see pictures too?? thanks! |

I've tried it several times, but my boys want no part of it. They immediately paw at it, rub their heads on the floor, and generally go crazy! But I love the look. It's how a yorkie is supposed to look. :) |

1 Attachment(s) coco has long hair and i use clips (boy colors only, of course ;)). i bought them from Target and they are Goody's "contour clips." i prefer them over bows. this isn't a very clear picture but you can see the clip. :) |
1 Attachment(s) My DD's (14 & 8) feel that our puppy (10 months) must have a bow in his hair. We did find that people thought the was a girl if our bow was plain. So, I made some very boy looking bows and top knot bands. I went to the craft strore and found very "boy looking" buttons: fire trucks, sports ball, etc. I took my DS with me to help me pick them out. I then created a few hair bows with some matching ribbons. The others I just attach to the band of his top knot... I hope this make since. I attached a pic of his bow with a dalmation on it. |
i Do sometimes... and my hubby always say : "Dont put a bow in his hair or rubberband, its a boy not a girl... because of you Snickers is in an Identy CRISIS " hahahahah |

I sell tons of boy bows! I think the key is a really masculine bow. One of my most popular boy bows is a football bow in team colors. That will usually win a skeptical BF or hubby over! |

Parker wears bows with boy theme's. I try to match his bows with his harness vest. He never fools with them. |

Andy wears bows clips and colored bands. Always boy colors so hubby won't complain! |
I give Kimchee boy hair bands with boy or neutural colors when he is at home. I dress him up and give him some hair band which has like dragonfly, ladybug, teddy bear, giraffe, lion, etc. theme so he doesn't look so girly. On the other hand, I give Mochi girl all sort of pink, flowers and butterfly theme to make her like a girl. |

I think it's totally fine to put bows in boys hair...as long as they are boy-ish and not pink with flowers and lace....LOL. :p After all, the bows do wear them in the show rings ;) I would possibly put them in my Stedman's hair if only he would allow it :rolleyes: |

I too am trying to let Nathans hair grow out too and he will tolerate a cloth covered rubberband and i only use black and he wears boy clothes when we go out so most of the time people know he is a boy and they ask why do you have his hair in a ponytail I tell them the show yorkies are allowed to do this and he is my show yorkie!!! :) lol |

I wish i could but my Hubby wont let me at all, Kuma now really belongs to my husband since he is more daddy's boy but that also helped me get a little sister for kuma hehe. Hubby said go crazy on her but keep those bows off the boy!!!!! |
