Who is Going Short This Summer/Spring?? I'm Still debating weither or not i should shave Brownie down Again. I'm starting to remember Why i never grow his hair out. 1.His Allergies are acting up Which mean's more oatmeal bath's Which is hard to do with floor length hair. 2.He like's to be a boy Rolling running, All that good stuff outside. 3. He has like a heater in his body He's alway's hot a shaving him seem's to help he doesn't have all that hot hair. Right now he has that modified schnauzer/Westie look Shaved back Long on side's,chest & booty. & a westie short face.& topknot. I'm thinking about shaving the side's chest booty off leaving the leg's long & growing out his face. & Keeping the topknot. Who's shaving this year? |
Milo went real short yesterday, he looks like a little pipsqueak. I tend to keep him longer in the winter and shorter in the summer, it helps with my allergies when his hair is short and he is rolling around outside it is much easier to give him a bath with the shorter hair. |
We have actually been debating on whether to cut Magic's hair back a little this summer...she has floor length coat and it is in good condition but it makes her so hot during the summer months, but at the same time I love her hair and can't imagine her not having it anymore. It took so long to get her hair this long I am having such a hard time deciding whether or not to cut it off!! LOL |
We are short year round but we live in Florida so it is a must here. :p :D |
Me I think - especially Chanel - we have BURRS in some of the grass where I just moved too Grrrrr :thumbdown- but I think she needs a short cut due to the fact that she really pants after we walk every day.....she never did this before and I think it's from excitement but still...it worries me |
I went short with Apollo again , see avatar... well rosi is still growing hers out from last yr, just having her trimmed, allthough i will probebley feel sorry for her when it gets hot, so i dont know yet what i will do with her ! i just like her better with long hair :rolleyes: |
I'm still debating, but I think I'll get slades body trimmed down and leave his top knot and face hair. he is black, so it makes him twice as hot. |
Shadow is going short soon...in the spring/summer I keep him short but come fall, I will start growing it out a little longer again to keep him warm...he seems to love it shorter in the hot months.... |
I'll be getting a shorter cut for Snickers and Baxter this summer. They give me a hard time lately when I groom them because it takes so long with their longer hair. They just want to play and rough-house, and the short cuts will make bathing faster too. Plus they love to get into the dirt outside, so it's a 'no-brainer' for me!:) |
My two are always short but we go to the groomer tomorrow to get SHAVED for summer :D They are good for baths but hate the blowdryer so this makes it easier and I think they are cute. We save Sam's topknot though. Gotta love that ponytail! |
i think im going short too this summer..i will keep the top knot though, its just easier for me and better for her |

To all the people that said they just shaved there yorkie Pic's Please !! Brownie also has hip arthritis So it's so hard to him to sit or stand in one position for a long period of time. I will take before & after pic's if i decide to do it ! |

Well I just shaved Stedman down yesterday evening!!! :eek: :eek: :eek: I still can't believe that I did it....BUT, with that darn belly band of his, it is just sooo much easier for him to have shorter hair. However, I will not keep it this short for long. In about 2-3 months it should be to the length I want it (his hair grows really fast!) and what I will then do is just maintain it at that length. I won't let it get any longer (unless I end up changing my mind LOL) although I definitely will not cut it any shorter. I just went shorter THIS TIME so that we could kind of "start fresh" and let it get back to the exact length I want it at :) Plus, with it getting hotter here, he will feel alot better :) Stedman is just too "little" and skinny to KEEP this short of a cut though. With him having hair this short it makes him look even smaller (meaning skinny) and I don't like that :( P.S. - His face is still exactly the same...I didn't TOUCH that and never would :p |
