Can you make him a harness out of thin elastic ? Anything to keep away from the staples, yet still let him go with you.... |
How terrible! As a groomer I know how unpredictable a dog can be, and I also know that accidents can happen...but with that being said... WTF?!? How could this have happened??? That is a HUGE GASH! not just a scratch or even a cut...my God, she could have cut his head off! I looked at the picture, and cannot imagine what tool she was using that did this terrible thing...my best guess is a dematting tool...but in that area it is highly unlikely. Most good groomers will pay any vet bill incurred as a result of a grooming "accident". At least in my area, that is what I was taught to do. (thank God I have never cut a pet in my care) KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK! on wood. I am just so sorry that this has happened to you and your precious little one. My Cricket is small like that too, and I am just glad that I can do the job myself. PLEASE PM ME, I WANT TO SEND YOU SOMETHING. Sue & Cricket :aimeeyork |
Oh my gosh! Thats just crazy. The owner there is a Yorkie breeder. My Jamie's mom Macy is from her line. The lady who bought Macy got her on a spay and neuter contact but didn't get her spayed and Jamie was the result. I did a little snooping and found out the situation since they lady could never provide me with Jamie's papers. I called Cindy and she seemed nice enough and told me to bring Jamie in and she would trim him up. When I took him in for the trim, he had a fit and she said he was just spoiled. I figured it was probably more because he was just a baby (10 weeks old) and was scared. Anyway I wasn't crazy about them, so I learned to do it myself. I'm sure you'll do fine and I hope you baby feels better soon. Maybe we can get together sometime for a playdate. |
Poor baby - wishing him a quick recovery. |

Before we log off for the evening, Rex and I want to thank everyone for the love, support, hugs, well wishes, and puppy kisses!!!! He's curled up in his new bed (since I trashed the poopy one)! YT is the best! |
I am so very sorry that this happened to your little Rex, and so glad that he is healing well. This is very upsetting because I have always groomed my dogs myself, and was gonna take them to a groomer for the first time this month. Your awful experience makes me think twice now. Sending good wishes to you and Rex.:aimeeyork |
Really, how did that happen? The gash is huge. She could have killed him. |

ok, I got that out of my system I'm soooooo sorry about Rex!!! The poor little guy! I feel so bad for him. I wish him a very quick recovery! I just hope he isn't terribly afraid whenever he gets groomed now. You'll be fine grooming him yourself. I've always done my yorkies myself... it's fun! |
I would be very upset too! As a groomer I don't see how you could cut a dog that deep. I know mistakes happen, but gosh! Luckily she paid for the vet bills, I'm not sure what else she can do. I would def. not be going back there and I don't blame you for wanting to groom Rex by yourself. Poor thing! |
Poor little Angel! Hope your baby gets better soon! I would be upset too but thank goodness he will be okay!:) |
Oh my gosh! What the heck was she useing? Poor baby. |
Oh, poor Rex! That looks terrible! I'm sorry that happened, and I hope for a speedy recovery for him. |
