| Ear cleaning questions Can I get some info on how you clean your Yorkies ears. Also any tips or other helpful info. I so far just use a q-tip and very gently clean the parts I can see. Actually I don't even go that far. Theres a lot I can see but I don't want to go to far in so I don't even attempt after a certain point. lol! Hope that made sense! TIA |

I usually remove the hair from the ear canal.....you can use tweezers that are sterilized. Then I bathe the dog.....once bathed and before drying I use a product that is used for cleaning and drying "Vet Solutions" it brings any wax to the surface, the dog will shake it up, you can just wipe away the excess wax and debris from the outter ear with a Q-tip

Plucking the hair from the ear canals is only necessary if you have a yorkie that has an abundance of hair there. I would suggest you ask your groomer or vet to instruct you on the procedure.
