So sad that still to this day we have such ignorance! I have had similar challenges in another what I would call "franchise" pet shop! I have emailed headquarters and everything; no response, no apology.

Girl don't you feel bad about her getting fired. That :animal-sm (<- female type) deserved it! If she chose to speak to you that way and chose to have a bad attitude then she deserves to reapt he "benefit" of her actions. That attitude is not nessicary ever but especially not in the work space. You go girl! :D

Glad the manager had a BRAIN and fired the girl. Seriously--people are so stupid sometimes.

back for following threw and getting rid of that horrible person. He's
right in not wanting to loose money over someone so ignorant which

I was so angry when I read your first post. I have come across similar people...and have no problem correcting them. I'm glad you were able to stand up for yourself. Its so disgusting to experience such ignorance. Congrats to the owner for recognizing and dealing with his problem. I hope you and Pepsi continue to shop without problems.

Write a letter to the business
 

I am big believer in writing a letter to the business telling them about your situation.
My husband owns his own business and we find those letters quite helpful.

I am glad the owner took this seriously. I feel terrible that this happened to you. I hope you never have to deal with that again!

I hope Pepsi got some awesome stuff with his store credit! :D

that woman got the boot! I agree sometimes we all have a bad day. BUT, it doesn't give us the right to act the way that lady at the store did. If she can't handle life, she shouldn't be where she may come in contact with people. No matter what kind of day I'm having, I don't take it out on innocent people.
I save my best for a woman like that lady at the store, I don't hold my tongue either and I'd let her have it even if she wasn't talking to me. Being an innocent by-stander, I would have been offended just because it was in my presence that she behaved the way she did and that gives me the right to show her the way :animal-pa

Really glad to hear you and your mom stood up for your rights. I've worked in a lot of stores and in the public service for years and have dealt with people like this. The store owner was very lucky you went back and talked to him. You could have filed a discrimation suit against his store as she was in his employment. He did the right thing and she doesn't deserve to be working in public. My husband is an ex-cop and always says I need to learn to hold my tongue and walk away. Sorry, after 13 years of abuse from an ex, no one talks down to me. I was in a pet store just after I got Belle and a store lady (I use that term lightly) asked what kind of dog she was. I told her Belle was a Morkie and she chuckled and said "I guess not everyone can afford a Yorkie so they get a mutt instead." Good thing I was holding Belle or I probably would have decked her!:mad: I asked what nationality she was (knowing she was German) and she said she married a man from the US, so I asked if she had kids and she said she did. I then told her "well, not everyone can have purebred children, some of you settle for mutts" She never said a word after that. I've been back to that store and she always makes sure she goes to another isle. I made that comment to get to her, I am not a bigot in anyway and I am German and Irish, so my kids are mutts too, God luv em":D

lady (and I use the term lightly as well). Morkies can cost way up there too! Nini is a Morkie and she wasn't cheap, as a matter of fact I paid more for adopting her than other Yorkies available at the time. I adopted HER because she picked me. Her eyes melt my heart the second I looked into them. I knew right away that she owned me.

WOW! That is crazy!! I would spend the $250 right away and never go back so you don't have to run into her in case he didn't fire her!! People are so so rude. I can't belive there are people in the world like this!!!
