When Traveling With Your Dog, What Do You Bring? Some of us were discussing how it would be great if we had a "Travel Checklist" of stuff to bring along if you're traveling w/ your dogs. Once we get a good list, we can make it into a sticky in the Travel Section and also put it in the library. So - feel free to add what you think is essential to bring when traveling w/ your fur kiddos. I bring: Benadryl Empty syringe (for forcing water, if needed) Nutrical Collars, harnesses, ID tags, leashes Microchip numbers and chip company phone numbers in my wallet Wet wipes Towels Scissors Misc meds: tummy upset, diarrhea, dramamine Brush and comb Hair clips Food/treats Toys Water bowl/food bowl Pee pads Garbage bag Donut beds Peanut Butter for giving meds Cooling gel pad for carrier, if flying (gets hot under the seat) |

Somebody yesterday mentioned there are 2 phone apps you can use while traveling to locate the nearest vet. One is called IamsVet 24/7, and I think the other one is called Fido Factor, but I can't find the actual app...? |
There is a website called Bring Fido (www.BringFido.com) |
Ever since I read on YT that a dog got loose because the maid came into clean, we started taking an x-pen on all our trips. Even thought we put up a do not disturb sign, I feel certain my girls cannot run out the door because I put them in it with a bowl of water, beds, etc. usually in the kitchen area. No more worrying. |
Saline spray: great for little owies Vet wrap Ice pack with Velcro closures. Ear cleaner (if we are going swimming) and cotton balls and wipes. Grooming supplies: brush, comb, shampoo, nail clipper, hairbands, Shamwows Can of pumpkin along with their food. |
Phone number to microchip provider. Microchip numbers for dog. |
