| I know you are asking about FL but we just got back from Fort Morgan in AL the beach was dog friendly and the house we rented was right on the gulf. It was the first time Quincy saw a beach he loved it wore himself out everyday. Sorry if this is not what you are looking for but FL was right down the road.

What month r u tiring to do this meet up ? If we can start first with the time and place, I can check on friendly pet hotel or if no one mind maybe we can rent a house or a condo that's pet friendly, I will go either way. First location , somewhere all of us would drive to. Maybe start a list and find out how many would go , and where they live. I would take 2 furbabies w me., and I'm in East Orlando. Some of us can car pool. I'm in, where r we going, Lol!!!. ![]() bark@ulater!!!!! manina, miley, and max | |

. I know certain hotels like La Quinta don't charge extra for pets. we don't "have" to plan an overnight thing but maybe we would attract some people from a little further away if it was more than just a 3 hour tour ![]() I am open to suggestions as far as timing goes. I think we need a month or more padding to give people time to adjust their schedules. Could even be in the Fall if we really wanted to plan ahead and give the weather a chance to break a little ![]() There is a boutique doggie shop here that hosts "Wine and Wet Noses" events on Fridays. She will schedule a private event if we would like. That is on St. Armand's Circle ( a very dog friendly shopping and eating and gathering place) Also Venice Dog Beach and there is a pet friendly outlet mall as well as SEVERAL outdoor eateries (such as The Old Salty Dog) that welcome pets! Saturday's and Sunday's there are many different Farmer's Markets and Flea Markets (like The Red Barn) that welcome leashed pets. Possibly a Blues Fest or Wine Fest is scheduled to be coming up. I can check that out too

| I've been doing some checking around. Most private home rentals will not accept more than 3 dogs. Those that will charge a $250ish non refundable fee. We would also be hard pressed to find a home that would sleep more than 6 for less than $1500 for the weekend and most have a weekly minimum. The condo's here in my complex will run about $1000 with a one week minimum as well. They will not sleep very many without air mattresses ![]() La Quinta in Sarasota will rent us a block of rooms (10 minimum) for $70 per room per night. Would cost more like $85 if we have less than 10 rooms booked and paid for. This price includes breakfast. No extra charge for pets. Homewood Suites will rent us a block of rooms (10 minimum) for $85 per room per night. This also includes breakfast (I think ) and all of the suites have kitchens or kitchenettes. No extra charge for pets as far as I can see.La Quinta is almost next door to Oleary's Tiki Bar and Grill there is this one too http://www.theoldsaltydog.com/ Which are both a verified dog friendly bar/restaurant ![]() thoughts???

Does everyone agree on a Friday night to Sunday afternoon(ish)? Nobody has to stay 2 nights. I guess we could plan on Saturday being our main day!
