Hi all i'm just testing the flashing pics - "avatar":confused: one of the members was sooooo nice to help me with this :) can you tell me if you see it ok?

We see the same thing as you see, and it's not moving. The most common mistake is file size. Non donating members avatars can only be 75x75 pixels, and overall file size can be no bigger than 20 KB. If you reduce the size of the avatar, and then upload it the pictures will move. Donating members get an avatar that can be 125 by 125 pixels or 53.7 KB. Click on post reply, and beneath the smilies you will see the words Manage attachments. Click on this and select the gif from you computer to upload. Press upload and when it's finished uploading, press "submit reply."

I got it even though just a little x shows up. It is within the required size, so I'm not sure why it's not uploading propertly. Is this the gif you uploaded as your avatar?

Just wanted to tell you donations are a one time fee of $25.00 and this allows you to get the bigger avatar and several other benefits, but you need to figure out why this isn't working because it is the required size. If I were you, I would try to upload it again. Go to "user CP" and "edit avatar" make sure the avatar you upload is the same one you uploaded here, because it's the perfect size.

ok well i think i'll give it and try it yet again another day it's getting so late for me... i think i've tried everything i can possibly think of and you and another member has helped me so much and still nothing :confused: - so at this point i'll just leave it as is :animal36

I was able to get it, even though you can't see it. I posted it on your profile page, it's the correct size, I didn't change it. You need to try posting it again as your avatar. Go to "user CP" and next "edit avatar" like I said in the above post.

LOL "we're so close" I updated three times and it is still the same thing...I did the above mentioned and nothing i wonder what it could be?:rolleyes:

When you "update" are you sure you press "save changes." And are you sure you uploading the same avatar as the one you linked to this thread?

yes i am :( ok will upload and save again in a sec i have to take mb to go potty lol she's just looking at me like saying "come on I want to go potty" and she's just standing by the door lol brb

LOL she totally had to go potty poor baby - she was holding it to go out - like us holding it - :( ok can you see it now - i uploaded and did the whole thing again, sorry took me long to come back for some reason it was taking long to do the reply

nancy i just saw the other notification you sent me yes that's it i can see it flashing so strange that it wont work on here ok i think i better give it a rest lol i've been trying to upload photos since i joined the site lol

Actually they will only flash on the profile pages or when upload as an avatar. They don't show up in this part of the forum because they're too small, and the bigger ones will show up, but you have to click on the link to see them move. I could give you the web address and you could paste that in the box for "url" but that might confuse you more. :confused:

That's really odd Liz, it's under file size but I'll reduce it a little and keep testing it on my account till it's working. Yours is the first one I've ever had trouble with, :confused: maybe Marbellah is being shy! :rolleyes:

LOL on Gypsy :D - Good morning to the two of you Hello Nancy, well after all the mess from last night - After I took Marbellah to go potty i posted a few posts and for some reason I think the yorkietalk web was down or something because i just couldn't connect anymore so i gave up and went to bed and marbellah was ready to go night nite too ;) - anyway i'm not sure why it's not working. But I really thank you both for your help w/this.

Well, it's working for me! If you take the address and paste it in the "url" it should work. See the enclosed picture to show exactly where to paste the address. I'm going to post the address in the following post, and that way, you can double left click it, and it will be highlighed, then right click it, and select "copy". Then go to "edit avatar" and paste this whole thing where it says "url" . You may see the words, "http://www." in that space, delete that and paste your address there.
