Hi Jeanie its Gail stopping by for a chat Well Jeanie it is a sunny and hot Monday here in the good ole city of Toronto. We did go dock diving yesterday with all three of our dogs! Such a grand time and a beautifull day as well. I know how much you enjoy seeing our dogs jump and I am busy uploading our vids to you tube and will post all the links here so you don't have to go hunting around for them. I really miss you here, and think about you a lot. In quiet moments and in the still of meditation I send my love and such light as I have out to you and wrap you in the light. I muse how your rehab is going and dearly hope that you are not in too much pain. Take those pain pills as you need them. I await Lisa or Ann to let me know how you are doing - I sure hope they can get that phone number of the rehab place. Okay what else is going on here? As usual the big boy needs grooming and wee Razzle too. Just usual common stuff of everyday life. Groceries n cleaning yawn boring boring! Get back here soon Jeanie! |
I finally spoke to Jeanie this morning. I was really relieved when she called me. I was very worried about her, particularly since I no longer had a number to reach her at. Along with the number of the rehab facility that she's at, she also gave me her son's and sister's phone numbers. I wouldn't call them unless I absolutely had to. Jeanie was discharged early Friday evening, and she is at a place called Remington Medical Resort in Richardson. Her stomach still is very upset, but as the day goes on, she feels a bit better. The doctor told her it was a little early to be leaving the hospital, but he didn't think Remington took patients on weekends. Jeanie said it's much nicer there than the hospital, but she was also complimentary towards the hospital. Hopefully she will only have to stay about a week, but once she comes home she will be able to have a nurse check on her twice a day and also someone to stay with her for a couple of hours a day. Jeanie greatly appreciates all of the love, prayers, and good wishes everyone has given her and also Veronica (Chibiluv) for taking such wonderful care of her precious Tibbe, and I feel the same way. I am glad Jeanie got in touch with you, Lisa and thank you for letting us know how our dear friend is doing. The rehab facility sure is a wonderful place to be recuperating and getting all of her needs met. Praying she continues to get stronger and is home soon. |

So, young Jeanie - 'over here' - my family (yep, Andy, too) is missing you. You're always on our minds, as is your little boy :heart to Please be ok soon xxx |
1 Attachment(s) I got to talk to Jeanie today, sounded like she's making slow and steady progress. I even put her on speaker for Tibbe to hear her voice. She offered to get someone else to watch him which is sweet but poor little guy has had enough change, he is settling in here and has been the perfect little house guest. I like how his tounge sticks out of his mouth all the time lol. I reassured her that he is welcome to stay as long as she needs him to. We are all sending our love and healing her way. Tibbe says hi and thanks for all the prayers for his Mommy! |

Tibbe still always looks like he's smiling...God bless him. All our love to you, Jeanie + Tibbe :) xxx |

All of this is why I love Yorkietalk so much, how people pull together to support each other. At times there's negativity, but all of the beautiful things that I witness so much of the time overpower anything negative I ever see. I came to Yorkietalk when my sixteen year old little girl, Ashley, had irritable bowel, and I was trying to learn more ways to help her. She was under the care of a vet that I love, and at that point, I was having her seen every one to two months, just for my own piece of mind. I'm usually pretty shy and quiet, and I never expected to become as involved in the community. Ann and the YT community made it so welcoming here and the tone so warm and accepting. When I lost Ashley close to her seventeenth birthday, people were so supportive. Nobody made me feel silly for staying on a dog forum for almost two years without even a dog in my life. At times I felt silly, anyway, but that was in my crazy mind, but I just couldn't leave. I had grown to care so much about the people and pups of Yorkietalk. My dear friends, who I met on YT, found Katie for me from an amazing show breeder. They joined together without me knowing it, and then they convinced our breeder and me that we could give Katie a great life. When I was unable to travel to get Katie and our plan of having a show breeder bring Katie with her when she was showing her dogs closer to me didn't pan out, my dear friend traveled a long way to get her for me. It was something I was unable to talk her out of. I celebrated here with our community when Katie came home to me. It was so wonderful to share my excitement with the people I had grown to care so much about. Veronica reaching out to help Jeanie is so heartwarming. There were other people too who reached out to help and so many others who wished they could but we're too far away. It's something I will never forget. Every one who is here has helped. We have such a beautiful ccommunity, all bonded together in the love of Yorkies. It's much more than that, though. We can see it in this thread and the one Jeanie started--people reaching out, truly caring about Jeanie, praying for her, thinking about her, and missing her greatly. Jeanne, you have had a great impact on our community. You are always there to help and to reach out to support people. We love you, Jeanie, and we hope you get better really quickly. Thank you for all you do and for brightening up my life and this community. Please get well and come back to us when you are up to it. I'm sending my love to you and Tibbe today and always. |
I am so happy to know that Jeanie and Tibbe are both in good hands now, and I pray her recovery continues to go well so they can be together again soon. Lisa, you are so right, Yorkie Talk has some amazing, caring members, and they are the gems that keep this site alive. I love you all and am proud to be part of this community. |
