Hubby had heart attack on 33rd wedding anniversary!
 
It's amazing how quickly an event causes your life to change forever. My husband had a heart attack Monday evening, which just happened to be our 33rd wedding anniversary. He's home from the hospital and is doing fine, very little damage done to the heart muscle, BUT a tremendous amount of damage has been done to both of our psyches.

We had a HUGE wakeup call reminding us that our life here on Earth isn't guaranteed and that we need to get everything in order...

We were also reminded not to take life for granted and to cherish those we love. Life's too short to Sweat the Small Stuff.

I would sincerely appreciate the prayers of my dear YT Family.

You both will definitely be in my prayers. I'm so glad only little damage was done to his heart muscle. Happy anniversary. I hope you can celebrate when you both are feeling better.

First of all so glad to hear that he's ok and no damage. Happy 33rd! Yes you are right "life is to short to sweat the small stuff". Now if we can all just remember that and not take anyone or anything for granted. Will be praying for your husband and you!

Heart attack
 
So very sorry that your poor hubby had a heart attack, what a terrible shock. Glad to know however that he is home and doing well with minor heart muscle damage. I hope you can celebrate your 33 rd when he feels up to it. Congratulations!! A horrible wake up call indeed and the psychological stress must be hard to bear at the moment.
Thinking of you both and sending healing prayers for a speedy recovery.

Thank you so very much for your prayers and hugs. I have to keep my mind busy to avoid all of the "what-ifs". We really were blessed and we are trying to keep that in the forefront of our minds.

My husband and I have been married for 36 years, and we have been struggling with some of his health issues mostly relating to the resultant pain from eight back surgeries and the havoc it creates on the body. Every day I realize how blessed we are to have each other. I know you are scared, but it sounds like things will be much brighter now that you know what you are dealing with.

Things can surely change in a blink of an eye. So glad he is okay and not much damage. Makes us much more aware of things. Sending prayers and hugs to both of you. And Happy 33 wedding Anniversary

I am sorry to hear your dear husband had a heart attack and at the same time I am glad that he got care and is home. Happy 33rd Anniversary! Sending prayers and healing thoughts.

Thank God he is okay. I bet that was scary. I will say a special prayer for him. Can you tell us how he knew he was having a heart attack; what were his symptoms? You are so right about how our lives can change in a heartbeat.

First I want to say Happy Anniversary, 33 years is a wonderful tribute to the union that you have created.

I am sorry about the heart attack, but happy to hear damage is minimal, and that you have had a "wake up call" to "stop and smell the roses". Life is precious, and never to be taken for granted. Prayers and hugs are going to you both.

I am very sorry to hear your dear husband suffered a heart attack, but relieved that he is home and his prognosis is good. Praying for him and you that you will have many more anniversaries to celebrate together without any scares like this one. Each day is precious.

Thank you so very much for your prayers. Although there was minimal damage, he is going to have to make some major life changes and it's going to be a hard row to hoe.

Thank you - for your prayers. It's funny that we actually DO feel blessed that he had this one - the way he did and when he did. Our son, who is a paramedic was home and was able to convince him that his symptoms were serious and that we needed to call 911.

Thanks for the Happy Anniversary wishes! Hopefully we'll have many more together.

I have been there when DH ending up in the hospital Dec 31, 2013. 9 days there with pancreatitis. It is a wake up call.

Thank you for your prayers, blessings and happy anniversary wishes. We are hanging in there. The biggest immediate problem we face is Ron remembering not to use the arm that they used for the heart cath test.

Wow...what a scare for you. It is so true life can change in the blink of an eye. I am so very glad he is doing well...and you now will do what it takes to stay healthy.

I'm sending hugs and adding my prayers for his health and mending. I know yt prayers help...you prayed for my dh a few years past when he had cancer. I always had a mental image of all my yt friends as little yorkies in the back seat of my car when I needed courage ...it worked ! So I'll be behind you barking encouragements

That is so important, men often think they must get back to how things were immediately however, the Dr's orders are most important.

I to have been hit with some life changing events in the past couple of months. It is a real eye opener on how we should live our lives.

So happy to hear that your hubby is doing better and thank goodness for your son talking him into checking this out further. Happy Anniversary and many more to come.:)

I'll definitely say a prayer for you and your husband. It's unreal how quickly things can go wrong. This Christmas I lost a friend at 21 who was just the complete picture of health until she got a horrible disease that wouldn't let her keep food down. She was gone in 10 months. I always thought she'd live to 100. :(

You just never know how long you have on this great Earth.

Thank you so very much for your prayers. I know that YT's Prayer Warriors have helped Ron in his recovery. It is amazing how quickly he has "bounced back". As I type he is down at the barn :).

Shinja, I will forever have a mental image of yorkies being crowded in the back seat of my little Mini Cooper. You'd be surprised as how many will fit, always with room for more. Thank you for the little smile this morning.

Thank you for your prayers and hugs. Hubby is behaving - I think his heart attack was an eye-opener. The only restriction he's on is not lifting anything over 6 lbs. with the arm that was used for the heart cath.
