Carolyn, Your knee looks too swollen to return to work-looks very painful. The pictures of Buster comforting you are really nice. Yorkies are great at comforting people. Our girls always knew when Sheila was in a flare. Rich |

Carolyn, I am so sorry that you are injured - I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Wow, the pics look so very painful. Hope you heal quickly. I hope the firefighters and first aid techs recognized your sense of style and told you how mighty fine you were looking. Now on to your parents. Were they tested for genetic defaults prior to breeding? I mean... well I'm not exactly sure what I mean. :lol tears We all know that luxating patellas can be genetic. :lol tears I agree with the megansmommy about the crate rest. :lol tears |
Yikes, Rhonda, you are a toughie. I can't believe you got yourself up and to work in that condition. That kind of knee would have a professional athlete on Valium and pain Rx. and the knee elevated in bed with his entourage waiting on him hand and foot. |
Oh wow that looks very painful! Hope you'll be ok! Sweet Buster, looks like he's nursing you back to good heath. |
How did you make it today? |
Thinking about you and checking for an update....... |
Hoping the news isn't bad and you'll heal w/out surgery though from the look of all that swelling..........it looks like some fresh ACL/MCL knees look after a tear, though I know you've been told it's nothing like that. Besides, the doctor who saw you could tell from the physical exam if it's that extensive an injury just by the way the knee reacted to his tests. Is your pain any less now? |
I'm so sorry you were hurt, Carolyn. I hope you heal soon and that you will be free from pain. Buster Brown is a doll! |
Oh my....just seeing this. Carolyn, that looks dreadful. :( I am SO sorry. Praying that there is nothing too serious going on with your knee. I cannot believe you are working with that. :( Yikes |

Sheila & I have you in our prayers for your appt. with your Orthopedist. Glad the pain has been manageable-the Yorkie TLC is the best medicine. Rich |
Carolyn, I pray you are doing well. Hope to hear from you how your Orthopedist appointment went. Hugs, Dyan |
hoping you get good news from ortho!!! |
Hooray I do not need surgery. The did an MRI and no tearing. I am in a brace and with a cane but no crutches!!!! I will have a recheck in 3 weeks and then a little physical therapy. The hardest part is I am not supposed to drive until the knee gets a little stronger. Thank goodness for Buster and Jack, they have taken good care of me. It's really really black and blue now but all in all I am relieved with the outcome. Thanks for all you kinds thoughts. Now on to your parents. Were they tested for genetic defaults prior to breeding? I mean... well I'm not exactly sure what I mean. :lol tears We all know that luxating patellas can be genetic LOL Sadly I am a product of bad knee genetics. My Mom, Dad, and both brothers all have knee problems. :) |
