Good to hear your surgery went very well and they got alot of the fluid out and your lungs look good. Praying for you to improve each day and happy you can breathe easier. |
I just know that is going to make a huge difference and now you'll be able to heal. Continued prayers and love to you Kim! |
Continued prayers for healing.... |
Thank you everyone for the good wishes and prayers. I'm still in the hospital. My breathing is better, but I still have lots of inflammation and congestion. It's been 3 weeks now, and I'm so darn tired. Worst of all, we have been saving, planning and dreaming and we are supposed to be going with my little grandson, my daughter, and son-in-law to Walt Disney World on October 19th. I can't let my little guy down, but I'm so worried I won't be able to keep up. Please say a little prayer I can kick this. Disney is only 2 weeks away. |

My father didn't want to disappoint my brother on Thanksgiving last year when dad belonged in the hospital for what turned out to be pneumonia. I told him that my brother would be a whole lot more disappointed if we lost our dad! The best thing you can do for your grandson is to take care of yourself, rest, and get healthy. |
I agree with Kristin to not push it too soon. You don't want to have a relapse. Your health is most important...Disney will still be there in the future. Praying for you to improve each day! |
I will, of course, pray that you kick this by then, Kim...but don't push it if you haven't. Your grandson will completely understand. |
Boy, I'd be cautious traveling, being in crowds or doing too much in just two weeks time, Kim. You don't need a relapse. If you go, I'd sure take it easy. Prayers are still coming. |
Please take care of yourself, Kim. You have touched so many lives and hearts, and we worry about you. I hope your surgery speeds up your healing, and I pray that you gain your strength and get well soon. |
Oh Kim, I'm just seeing this. Bless your heart, I'm so sorry you have been going through this. Please remember to take care of yourself first. I'm sure your grandchild will be happy just to have his grandma home. ;) Saying prayers you will recover soon. |
Thank you all for the encouragement. Those darn old lungs still won't fully open. I'm on several different therapies and 8 different medications. I'm on IV #16. This has really been a lesson in patience, and I'm now gaining incredible compassion and understanding for those with long term illnesses. It looks like I'll be hanging out (literally) with the hospital gown crowd until Monday. I so miss snuggling with my little girls. Maybe we'll be able to get them in for a visit this weekend. Thank you for the prayers. |
I am keeping you in my prayers. |
wow Kim, it's really amazing how much you have been able to handle. It's hard to believe how serious things can get with pneumonia. If I was you I would not worry about Disney until some time next year Were you all going to fly, if not perhaps they could put it off as well. |
Kim, I am praying that the meds start doing their job and you get better soon. I hope you get to see your pups this weekend to brighten your day a little. God Bless! |
Kim I am sending up prayers that you get well enough to go home and are able to not let your grandson down, I was so heartbroken when you told me about how Mia is missing you. I wish I lived closer . Love ya. |
