My sister's latest update :) Cliche, I know, but "what a difference a day makes!" Don't get me wrong, we still have a major war going on, but everyone is SO much more encouraged this morning! Sepsis is priority one and it is being medically attacked with a vegence. Just need her body to keep up its end of the deal, and so far, so good. Today, doc was talking about "the weekend"...yay! More "tomorrows" :) I surrender all ~~even if... |

I'm so happy to hear she's fighting the infection and the doctors feel she has tomorrows. They are awfully honest with families these days and that is sounding promising. I just prayed again for Jada and will keep it up. I'm so hopeful that the prayers of everyone can work some miracles right in that hotel room tonight and tomorrow and get her through this infection and stop it in its tracks. I'm praying for you too that you can hold up this impossible burning the candle at both ends. It can't be easy and the timing of your boss being away is awful but he knows he can count on you to keep his business going. And your sister knows you'd be right there if you did absolutely have to be on the job keeping it going. Please take care and nap where you can. I wish I could do more to help in some way. Please be careful driving, okay? And one day I'm hoping to send Jada a big old kiss via her aunt when she's much much better. |

Thanks so much, everyone! I think I might actually be able to sleep a little tonight. My headache has started easing up within the past hour, too. :) |
Oh, dear, bad time for a headache so naturally, that's when one comes. I hope you can rest some tonight. Stress and fatigue and eating on the fly can sure give you one. |

You all are so amazing and so appreciated and loved. Keep up those prayers!! I am happy to report the latest status update from about midnight last night from my sister: " Ok, just so I am not held responsible for any sleepless nights...AND because I my head is spinning in the clouds...here's the update: All smiles on THIS momma's face as I just left a young lady who posting the best numbers I have seen in months, if not years! Now, keep in mind that she IS on a ventilator so she is not at all doing this on her own, but, by goodness, it sure is amazing to see her " ...breathe" without struggling! And the most elating thing that happened, the thing that caught me SO off guard...wait for it...she actually "woke up" for a short time, mouthed "Momma" and "I love you", grinned that goofy Jadabug grin, and hugged me so tight she took my breath!! (There is a long, super-fun story that goes with this. Remind me to share it one day...or ask Momma C or Cornbread) What an incredible girl. ~~even if... " <3 Oh...had to add..I'm waiting on the story and will share :) |

I'm weak with relief. She's far from where she needs to be but this is such good news. Resting her body and taking over her breathing puts more of her resources to fighting germs and healing tissue. It's a great place to start from and go onward and upward. Jada is a fighter as others have said before and this report gives me and everyone so much hope that she can actually beat this pneumonia type problem and get back in line for new lungs. We'll all still pray for this amazing young woman, her mother, you and your whole family. No reason this story can't end in a miracle. I'm expecting one. |
