Linda is still having problems with a darn infection she has. The antibiotics don't seem to be working, she is hoping it's not a MRSA Infection. I told her last night she needed to get the Doctor and have them put her on another antibiotic. She said the area was reakl red nd hot to the touch, I asked had she taken her temp. She was going to do that. I haven't heard from her today, so I hope she got to the doctor to be checked out. She certainly doesn't need this with all the doggies she has that are sick and need med's at different sceduled times. She really needs to rest and not put too much stress on her arm. So please keep the prayers going. |
Oh our poor LadyJane! Linda you are NEVER far from my thoughts and prayers. You are such a wonderful person and classy lady! I will be praying extra hard now. I have been following you on FB but did not know about the cancer. I'm so glad you caught it as early as you did. My mother-in-law didn't discover hers until it had spread to her bones. She had never heard of self-exams and her stupid doctor never advised a mammo so I add my plea to all of our friends no matter what age.....Annual mammos are a must. Do you have a wound clinic near you? The one here works miracles sometimes. They have a barometric chamber for really bad ones. |
I hope Linda is at the doctor. She needs to take as good of care of herself as she does for all her babies and rescues. I am keeping her in my prayers. |
Sending hugs and prayers for Linda. Sunny D got worse and she had to let him go to the Rainbow Bridge today. |

I am so heartbroken to hear (via FB) that Linda had to let Sunny D go to the Rainbow Bridge. He put up a good fight and during his last days was able to be home with Linda and his siblings. May Sunny rest in peace. Praying for Linda and all her babies too... |
Oh, I didn't know about losing Sunny D! I hope Linda isn't neglecting herself and letting that infection get out of control. She needs to get in and get seen by her doc and get a culture of that wound if they haven't already done that. Bless her heart. I'm still praying so hard for her. |

Where on FB is this, I'm not seeing it....praying for Linda and all her pups....I really hope she is taking care of herself RIP Sunny D |
Please take care of yourself,Linda. Sunny D was so lucky to be loved by you. I'm so sorry about your loss. |
It's unbelievable. She came home from the doctor to find Sunny in a bad situation, rushed him to the vet, and next I heard he was gone. I really thought he would turn around. It's been a horrible couple of weeks for Linda. |
Linda...just seeing this. I am happy to hear that there is nothing in the nodes. Please know that if you need anything just ask. Prayers, hugs and lots of well wishes go out to you. Wanted to add that I am glad you had SunnyD home for a couple of days with you and the other pups. |
So sorry to hear of SunnyD's passing. I am keeping Linda in my prayers that they get the infection taken care of. |
RIP, SunnyD. Linda, I know this is so much at once. I am so sorry for your loss! Please remember to take care of yourself. Continuing to send healing prayers & positive thoughts your way! |

I am running out the door now to my appointment..yes, I do take care of myself. :) Probably does not seem that way, but I do want to live to be able to care for my pups and also be here for my friends and family. I have two young grandchildren. :) I will post later today. It was a horrible night for me...I don't have time to cry today (at least not too much...it still is very raw, but I am being kept very busy) so I guess that is a good thing. Thank you to all of you for your thoughts and prayers. |
Linda, I am praying for your comfort, peace, and health. I'm glad you are at the doctor now. I am so sorry to hear Sunny D passed. {{{{{hugs}}}}} |
Linda you can do this breast cancer fight. I did it one day at a time with alot of prayers. I will keep you in my prayers. I pray for no chemo but if that has to happen like I had to do that, God is our refuge and strength and He will carry you through it. Remember, life is more than your hair, your housework and your boobs. You will have a whole new attitude about life and people and of course you know the love of a dog! Jesus told us He will never leave us or forsake us and we know how our dogs are there for us too, through the thick and thin. |
May I suggest that we make two donations to YHR. One in memory of Sunny D and the other to honor Linda? |

Praying and waiting to hear what the doctor says. Wish I could help some way. |
I saw the PA today and she prescribed another antibiotic. While it looks better than it did the last time she saw it in terms of the reddening....it is very swollen. There is a seroma but she did not want to drain it ... she is concerned it will stir up the infecious process if it is indeed infected. I had been put on Doxycycline and Rifampin and on day 7 I had to stop taking them. My stomach was torn up from the Doxy...horrible upset stomach and reflux. No amount of meds and antacids were helping. I had a bit of a chuckle about it after the fact as I lost 4 pounds in that one week. I have been dieting since Jan. 1 and losing slowly...that was a lot in a week so my total is not bad right now. :) So...I keep my pain and continue on antibiotics and see the surgeon next Mon or Tues. They will email my appointment. They are awesome about contacting you and giving you ways to contact them. I have a direct phone number for everyone on my team including my surgeon. Very, very impressed with the care at M.D. Anderson! When you have an appt. you are seen at that time..no waiting longer than 5 minutes. Unbelievable! Thank you so much everyone for your thoughts and prayers. You have no idea how comforted I am by them. I am hanging in .. I told a friend that this is the worst time of my life since my mother died...and that was eons ago. Guess I am kind of feeling sorry for myself off and on now. But...basically I am grateful that my biopsy turned out as it did. Things could be much worse. Not sure I want to know how much, though. |

You kill my Linda... all that is going on and you still have a great sense of humor. :) On the serious side, so glad you are getting great medical treatment in your area. Prayers for healing and quick healing at that. Also, not a great way to lose 4 lbs., but hey, it is a loss. |
Prayers for health for you Linda...you are a woman to be admired for all you do for the poor, unfortunate pups you save! God bless you! So sorry for your loss.. Please continue to take care of yourself!;) |
Linda I am just now getting caught up. I am so sorry about SunnyD. RIP Sweet baby. Sending prayers for you. You are a fighter and you will overcome this storm too! Thanks for the updates and know that you are surrounded with prayers. |
I'm so sorry, Linda! I've been kind of out of the loop. Of course, I knew about Sunny D, but I did not know about the possible cancer. I will certainly keep you in my prayers and I hope the infection is soon just a bad memory. |
Linda you are in my prayers. My daughter was on doxycycline in September and got so sick. They switched to another and that was no better. She lost 15 lbs in 10 days. I hope the new antibiotics are gentler on you and work quickly. |

linda very sorry been out of the loop on sunny d\'s passing, may he rip. my prayers are with that they find something to work but not upset your stomach. your a strong lady and we are all pulling for you. |
Linda, I\'m glad you can joke about a silver lining with the weight loss. I\'m sure stress is also not helping with GI upset and gastric reflux. Antibiotics are no fun. I hope your medical team can find the solution quickly for you, and I pray that your swelling and pain subside soon. You and your pups and family remain in my thoughts and prayers. |
