Linda is still having problems with a darn infection she has. The antibiotics don't seem to be working, she is hoping it's not a MRSA Infection. I told her last night she needed to get the Doctor and have them put her on another antibiotic.

She said the area was reakl red nd hot to the touch, I asked had she taken her temp. She was going to do that.

I haven't heard from her today, so I hope she got to the doctor to be checked out.

She certainly doesn't need this with all the doggies she has that are sick and need med's at different sceduled times.

She really needs to rest and not put too much stress on her arm.
So please keep the prayers going.

Oh our poor LadyJane!

Linda you are NEVER far from my thoughts and prayers. You are such a wonderful person and classy lady! I will be praying extra hard now.

I have been following you on FB but did not know about the cancer. I'm so glad you caught it as early as you did. My mother-in-law didn't discover hers until it had spread to her bones. She had never heard of self-exams and her stupid doctor never advised a mammo so I add my plea to all of our friends no matter what age.....Annual mammos are a must.

Do you have a wound clinic near you? The one here works miracles sometimes. They have a barometric chamber for really bad ones.

Patti 02-19-2013 01:40 PM

I hope Linda is at the doctor. She needs to take as good of care of herself as she does for all her babies and rescues. I am keeping her in my prayers.

Sending hugs and prayers for Linda. Sunny D got worse and she had to let him go to the Rainbow Bridge today.

Oh no..... I'm so sorry to hear that...

sbgooljar 02-19-2013 02:50 PM

I am so heartbroken to hear (via FB) that Linda had to let Sunny D go to the Rainbow Bridge. He put up a good fight and during his last days was able to be home with Linda and his siblings. May Sunny rest in peace. Praying for Linda and all her babies too...

yorkietalkjilly 02-19-2013 03:29 PM

Oh, I didn't know about losing Sunny D! I hope Linda isn't neglecting herself and letting that infection get out of control. She needs to get in and get seen by her doc and get a culture of that wound if they haven't already done that. Bless her heart. I'm still praying so hard for her.

I'm so sorry to hear that Sunny D has made his final journey...what a little fighter her was.
Where on FB is this, I'm not seeing it....praying for Linda and all her pups....I really hope she is taking care of herself
RIP Sunny D

Please take care of yourself,Linda. Sunny D was so lucky to be loved by you. I'm so sorry about your loss.

107barney 02-19-2013 04:21 PM

It's unbelievable. She came home from the doctor to find Sunny in a bad situation, rushed him to the vet, and next I heard he was gone. I really thought he would turn around. It's been a horrible couple of weeks for Linda.

roseslevi 02-19-2013 04:23 PM

Linda...just seeing this. I am happy to hear that there is nothing in the nodes. Please know that if you need anything just ask. Prayers, hugs and lots of well wishes go out to you.
Wanted to add that I am glad you had SunnyD home for a couple of days with you and the other pups.

EarthAngel 02-19-2013 05:14 PM

So sorry to hear of SunnyD's passing. I am keeping Linda in my prayers that they get the infection taken care of.

hnybun128 02-19-2013 05:47 PM

RIP, SunnyD.

Oh my gosh :(:(:(. I am so very sorry. What a heartbreak. RIP SunnyD.

ladyjane 02-20-2013 07:19 AM

I am running out the door now to my appointment..yes, I do take care of myself. :) Probably does not seem that way, but I do want to live to be able to care for my pups and also be here for my friends and family. I have two young grandchildren. :)

I will post later today. It was a horrible night for me...I don't have time to cry today (at least not too much...it still is very raw, but I am being kept very busy) so I guess that is a good thing. Thank you to all of you for your thoughts and prayers.

Maximo 02-20-2013 09:15 AM

Linda, I am praying for your comfort, peace, and health. I'm glad you are at the doctor now.

I am so sorry to hear Sunny D passed.

Linda you can do this breast cancer fight. I did it one day at a time with alot of prayers. I will keep you in my prayers. I pray for no chemo but if that has to happen like I had to do that, God is our refuge and strength and He will carry you through it. Remember, life is more than your hair, your housework and your boobs. You will have a whole new attitude about life and people and of course you know the love of a dog! Jesus told us He will never leave us or forsake us and we know how our dogs are there for us too, through the thick and thin.

May I suggest that we make two donations to YHR. One in memory of Sunny D and the other to honor Linda?

I have just now seen this post about Sunny D and Linda's infection...it seems I am so busy taking care of my two healthy pups and grandchild, I can hardly keep up. I can't imagine what it must be like to take care of the fosters that Linda has, the sick and injured babies that she is never too busy for; and then to have the personal health problems that she has encountered lately seems almost too much for one person to handle.... I am so, so sorry to hear about Sunny D - I know how hard Linda fought for him. I know the battles she has faced with Teddy, Sammy and Gabby, as well as many others. Linda has been a wealth of knowledge and a great source of comfort to many of us when our babies have been sick or injured. I know I've turned to her for advice many, many times, and she's always been available. I had wished there was something I could do to help, now you mentioned this and I think this is a perfect idea. RIP Sunny D....

yorkietalkjilly 02-20-2013 01:16 PM

Praying and waiting to hear what the doctor says. Wish I could help some way.

ladyjane 02-20-2013 01:54 PM

I saw the PA today and she prescribed another antibiotic. While it looks better than it did the last time she saw it in terms of the reddening....it is very swollen. There is a seroma but she did not want to drain it ... she is concerned it will stir up the infecious process if it is indeed infected. I had been put on Doxycycline and Rifampin and on day 7 I had to stop taking them. My stomach was torn up from the Doxy...horrible upset stomach and reflux. No amount of meds and antacids were helping. I had a bit of a chuckle about it after the fact as I lost 4 pounds in that one week. I have been dieting since Jan. 1 and losing slowly...that was a lot in a week so my total is not bad right now. :)

So...I keep my pain and continue on antibiotics and see the surgeon next Mon or Tues. They will email my appointment. They are awesome about contacting you and giving you ways to contact them. I have a direct phone number for everyone on my team including my surgeon. Very, very impressed with the care at M.D. Anderson! When you have an appt. you are seen at that time..no waiting longer than 5 minutes. Unbelievable!

Thank you so much everyone for your thoughts and prayers. You have no idea how comforted I am by them. I am hanging in .. I told a friend that this is the worst time of my life since my mother died...and that was eons ago. Guess I am kind of feeling sorry for myself off and on now. But...basically I am grateful that my biopsy turned out as it did. Things could be much worse. Not sure I want to know how much, though.

If you're at M.D. Anderson, you are in excellent hands. I've known more than a few people who had their treatment there and raved about the whole set-up and, of course, the results! They have such a good reputation up here among their former patients. Hang in there and stay on top of that infection. But I'm like you - I hate antibiotics - they just do my poor gut in! I'm so glad to get off them if I have to take them. It does sound that you got this before it had any time to spread and that's wonderful. I'm so glad you got that mammo when you did. What made you finally go get a mammogram?

You kill my Linda... all that is going on and you still have a great sense of humor. :)

On the serious side, so glad you are getting great medical treatment in your area. Prayers for healing and quick healing at that.

Also, not a great way to lose 4 lbs., but hey, it is a loss.

jfalz73 02-21-2013 04:22 AM

Prayers for health for you Linda...you are a woman to be admired for all you do for the poor, unfortunate pups you save! God bless you! So sorry for your loss..
Please continue to take care of yourself!;)

BabyGirl Rosie 02-21-2013 05:50 AM

Linda I am just now getting caught up. I am so sorry about SunnyD. RIP Sweet baby. Sending prayers for you. You are a fighter and you will overcome this storm too! Thanks for the updates and know that you are surrounded with prayers.

yorkieusa 02-21-2013 10:16 AM

I'm so sorry, Linda! I've been kind of out of the loop. Of course, I knew about Sunny D, but I did not know about the possible cancer. I will certainly keep you in my prayers and I hope the infection is soon just a bad memory.

Patti 02-21-2013 10:59 AM

Linda you are in my prayers. My daughter was on doxycycline in September and got so sick. They switched to another and that was no better. She lost 15 lbs in 10 days. I hope the new antibiotics are gentler on you and work quickly.

I am still having stomach issues. I called the PA today and also called my GI doc...waiting on a return call. I have had reflux issues for years and take meds and am well controlled...at least I was until the Doxy. To think we give that crap to dogs. :(

rubymoon2072 02-21-2013 11:31 AM

linda very sorry been out of the loop on sunny d\'s passing, may he rip. my prayers are with that they find something to work but not upset your stomach. your a strong lady and we are all pulling for you.

Maximo 02-21-2013 03:44 PM

Linda, I\'m glad you can joke about a silver lining with the weight loss.

I\'m sure stress is also not helping with GI upset and gastric reflux. Antibiotics are no fun. I hope your medical team can find the solution quickly for you, and I pray that your swelling and pain subside soon.

You and your pups and family remain in my thoughts and prayers.
