I almost spit my coffee out!! Sounds SO much like me. I had bilateral total knees done about 10 years ago, three months apart....and both times I was home faster than most. As for the local...uh NO you don't want to do that. LOL

The company of my pups is comforting to me...there is simply no place like home and having them look after. :)

I have had a bit of a rough time sleeping, so have not been up to posting much. I read this thread every single day and am so touched by all of the kind words and prayers. I remember many years back, having issues with YT...I signed up and then left for a while. I ended up loving it and the people..I have met SO many wonderful people on this forum. :)

LOL on the trashy tv. Not much of that, but I am watching my shows...Survivor, Walking Dead, Scandal, Designated Survivor and Blindspot. I tape them and watch when I can.

I hope you are ok....what with your Dolly and your sister. My heart breaks for you. It has been a rough couple of weeks. *hugs* So sweet of you to think of me when you have been through so much.

That is about all I am doing. My son has been awesome! Thank goodness for my pups! They really are great company and I can tell that they understand I am not feeling 100% . :)

I saw my surgeon two days ago and I was crying the blues about being so tired. She reminded me that I had major surgery and it was not yet a week; and of course mentioned my age...lol ... she was like, "I am not saying you are old". It does take longer it seems.

Yes, you had a major surgery! Give yourself time. I know, easier said than done, Wonder Woman. :D

I am sorry I haven't been around much. I get on the pc for short periods here and there. This is much harder on me than any surgery I have had in the past. I hate to whine ... so most of the time I just sleep. :(
I cannot say it is the worst thing in the world, but it is most unpleasant and a nagging thing day in and day out. Night time is the worst.
This too shall pass....just hope it is quickly.

Dearest linda, prayers for you to be able to rest and heal. Make sure you eat to keep up your strength. Know how much you are loved by all of us. Yes our dogs are a great source of comfort. So precious and they truly help us feel better.

That sounded like a really rough surgery. Does your surgeon have a good idea how long you'll be down for? Just stay strong and hug the pups when you can. Just keep getting stronger Linda, and I'll keep you in my prayers.

They took the last drain out today and guess what?!?!?! Yep, pain is almost gone. That darned thing was actually the real source of my discomfort!

AND I HAVE GOOD NEWS!!!!!!!

Biopsy back and the node was clear so cancer is all gone and didn't spread. I won't need radiation!!! YAY .. not sure on chemo yet. I will be seeing my oncologist to see what she thinks.

Thank you everyone for all of your kind words, your prayers ... your messages...the cards in the mail....everything! You are all so awesome! My flowers, candy and the money that really is a God send as I needed some personal care items. I will be messaging you all now that I am feeling better and can think clearly.

That is awesome news! Especially the biopsy being clean. That must have been so nerve-wracking. I remember how it felt waiting a week and a half for my mom's lymph node and margins biopsy from the surgery. I'm so glad to hear such great news. You had us all scared for a while!

YEAH so glad you got that damn drain out. Those are very painful. I am so glad the biopsy was negative. This is great news for sure.
BUT still you must take it easy. Prayers still being said.

Linda, I am very happy to hear all of your great news!! Stupid drain. I'm glad it is gone and that you have major relief from the pain.

Wonderful news that you don't have to go through radiation. Praying that chemo won't be necessary either.
