Please pray for my mother-in-law
 

Asking for prayers for my mother-in-law. She was taking her morning walk Monday morning around her house. She tripped a little and fell but caught herself only scraping her knee and elbow. My father-in-law who was sitting on the front porch heard her and came to check on her. He gave her a hand and helped her stand. She put her hand on the bed of the pickup and told him she felt dizzy, so her went to grab a lawn chair for her to sit in. As he was coming back she was already falling. He could not get to her in time. She passed out falling straight back on the concrete hitting head first. He ran to her and her eyes were rolled back in the back of her head. There was blood everywhere. He called 911 and they rushed her to the hospital. She had a CT scan done and 8 or 9 stitches in the back of her head. She has a fractured skull and concussion. When I saw her Monday it was awful. She was in so much pain and any movement caused her to get sick. Today is somewhat better. She's finally talking some. Both eyes are black. Still in lots of pain. I'm staying at the hospital with her tonight so my father-in-law can go home and finally get some rest. I'm sure she will be here several more days.

Oh my goodness that is so terrible. I will certainly keep your mother-in-law in my prayers. I hope she continues to recovery quickly.

Sending prayers for your mother in law to recover quickly. May I add that she has a great daughter in law. Hopefully your father in law will get some rest, he must be exhausted.

I will be praying for your mother-in-law and prayers for the rest of the family. Any time you have someone in the hospital it is stressful on every one.

Praying for your mother in law and family. Hoping she will be home and not have any long term problems because of her fall.

Prayer for your mother in law to recover quickly...

Thank you all so much for your prayers. She did good last night. Of course we were up every hour or some with nurses coming in for some reason or another. She is talking a lot more compared to when I saw her Monday afternoon. Both eyes are black...looks like she was in a fight :) They whites of her eyes are also red and looks like she has blood vessels that have ruptured in them. They did try to sit her up on the side of the bed today, but she just couldn't take it. Very dizzy and in pain and she felt like she was going to be sick. I think they are calling in physical therapy to come work on that with her. She is getting better. It will just be a very slow process. She is talking a lot more...making conversation. My father-in-law is back up there tonight after getting rest last night. I belive my sister-in-law will be staying Friday and Saturday night. Both of my husbands sisters work, so with me being off this summer (I teach) it was much easier for me to stay than them. Please continue with the prayers. We are all so thankful she has not had any swelling or anything from the hard hit on her skull.

They did take her down tonight for another CT scan, so we are waiting to hear back from that also.

Bless her little heart. That is terrible for her. We will continue to pray for a speedy recovery!
