What a sweetheart! Praying she can turn this around quickly... |
Saying more prayers for sweet Darcy and you too. Sending good thoughts and hugs. |
Saying prayers and sending good possitive thoughts!!:) |
Amy, I am so sorry to read of little Darcy's difficulties. Sending prayers and good thoughts your way.:animal-pa |
Thank you everyone for all your well wishes and prayers. Darcy had a good night in her box, but the fluid has built back up around her belly, maybe more than before. We took her back to the vet, and she will rest in the oxygen cage there, and Dr. Cooper will take more fluid from her. We are just waiting until he calls us and/or 4:30 when we can leave to go pick her up to bring her home. I snapped this picture right before we left this morning, she loves sniffing around in her front yard :) |

Awwww sweet baby. I hope you bring her home tonight with some good news. We are praying hard for your baby. |
Sending prayers for Darcy may she heal quickly. Light and love to all |
Darcy Pupdate: Darcy is walking, albeit VERY unsteadily on the carpet. When she goes in the kitchen, her paws slide out from under her...(think Bambi). She has only eaten about 1/2 a jar of chicken baby food since yesterday AM, so I got the idea of getting her the Gerber Chickensticks...WHOA! She didn't chew the first one, so Daddy told me to break the second one in 1/2. She bit my finger taking it from me...she really likes her baby chicken! Glad I bought 3 jars of those! She is shaking her head from side to side (think bobblehead), so the vet is worried she has some brain damage, but we cannot tell until maybe Monday--all of the phenobarb should be out of her system by then. Darcy is back in her Oxygen cage, she is wore out from eating and drinking, walking, and pottying outside. She will go back to Dr. Cooper in the AM. |
Prayers still continue for sweet Darcy. |
Sweet little Darcy:getwellso I have been thinking about you all day. I will say a prayer tonight that you will have a good night's rest so you can go home tomorrow and eat more of those Gerber Chickensticks and then walk around outside for awhile, and then spend some quality time with mommy and daddy. They love you so much. |
Thanks so much everyone. Darcy crawled out of her special crate on her own tonight, and ate a little more baby food. She was too tired to stand to drink her water, but we held her so she could get some, and now she is resting back in her crate again. Thanks so much for praying and caring about our baby girl. Words cannot express how deeply we have been touched by it. |

I am glad Darcy enjoyed the chicken sticks! I'm sad that her health is failing her and I will pray that she can overcome this. I hope tomorrow brings positive news. |
