Prayer needed for Adaila
 

If you can, please say an urgent prayer for a sweet little 5 year old girl named Adaila. She is very sick. Tonight is not going well for her...she needs as much prayer as possible.

My church is doing a benefit concert/event for her this Saturday. This day is to raise funds...but even more importantly it is to make the day really special for her. There is going to be some special things planned just for her...a special dance and crowning to make her feel like the princess she is. We really want her to be well enough to attend.

(I am not asking for donations for the event with this post. I am pleading for prayer for this very special little girl.)

How sad to hear that a child is so sick. I will keep her and her family in my thoughts and prayers.

Thank you so much. I could go on and on about how special she is. She has a real heart of gold. Sometimes when she gets sick she has to be hospitalized. Really hoping she can pull through a little quicker than usual this time. She has a rare form of a disease among other things. I'm not 100% privy to all of it, and don't want to violate their privacy by saying too much.

A quick little 'selfless' story of Dai tonight. She's laying in bed virtually lifeless breathing rapidly around 62 respirations per minute and going higher with every counting minute. Struggling to br...eathe and a smokin high fever. I said "Dai can I pray for you real quick daddy and mommy are really getting kinda scared." She grabbed my hand and said with a muffle "yea dad." So I'm sittin there with my baby pouring my heart out and in the middle of me doing this she said. "Dad we need to pray for ashy (our other daughter) because she's coughing and for your back so you feel better." That melted my heart. In her time of desperate need she wanted to make sure we prayed for others. She
has a heart the size of Texas and a love for people that most of us wouldn't understand. I love it!

She sounds like a wonderful little girl. Prayers going up!

I pray that God will breathe for this very Special Little Angel of His tonight and fill her with His peace, healing and glory. Thank you for relating her story briefly so we can know what a little gift she is to this world. It sounds like she has been a blessing to all who know her. Please tell her family that many here are praying for them and update us as you can.

Prayers going out for this special little girl. No child should ever have to go through any illness.

It just breaks my heart when I hear of a young child that has suffered so much. I will pray hard for her that God would place his healing hands on her.

Sending healing thoughts and wishes for this sweet girl, I hope she gets better soon.

I'll post an update as soon as I hear anything. Adaila was the first thing on my mind this morning. Thank you all so much for your prayers. Her dad posted this last night, and I thought I should share. I know how we worry about dogs getting vet care and didn't want anyone to think they didn't get Adaila the care she needs.

‎***I would like to add...Megan and I are trained by experience in this kinda stuff so we usually know when to make 'that call.' We are bordeline uncomfortable and when we get too nervous we will make that call. I just didn't want to sound like we were sittin there letting her struggle for hours on end. We know our and her breaking point. Close it is but still not there yet. So were hoping for that miracle!
I just read that comment and thought hmmm a normal kids parent might think we were crazy for not takin her to the hospital. Well she's not normal so we have to handle her that way. Otherwise we'd live in the hospital. Sorry for the rant. Just felt obligated to clarifiy.

Adaila's parents are such amazing people. God knew what He was doing when He gave Adaila into their care.

Please keep praying. This little angel needs all the prayers she can get.

Prayers for little Adaila

Just heard from Adaila's daddy....
She is doing slightly better this morning. Praise God! They are going to take her to see one of her docs today to try to get her some help. She had a really rough night. Still need those prayers....

Just wanted to share this too about Adaila. This little girl has been through SO much in her short five years. But, through it all, she always has a smile to give. Even when she is getting poked with needles....the nurses always comment on how brave and sweet she is.

A few Sundays ago at church I saw her and said hi. Her eyes were a little puffy and red. She said "hi...." and then she said while fighting tears "it's been a bad morning." I said, "ohhhh, do you need a hug sweetie", and she said yes. Then we both had tears in our eyes. It's like she just had to share. My heart broke for her at that moment. Her dad whispered that it was her first day wearing her new leg braces and they were a bit painful for her.

Just wanted to give another little insight for those praying for her. Her future life expectancy is unknown at this point. But that little girl lives life to the fullest....offering so much love to everyone she meets. Like I said, I could go on and on. She is the sweetest little thing ever.

Update from Adaila's dad on FB:

"Well? Dai woke up FEVER free! Seems to be doing better. Still not eating so we will monitor that through the day and a cough but if she stays like this then I think we will have a good day! Seriously less than 48 hours ago we were pretty scared for her! Then people started praying! hmmm...God is good! I pray she continues on this track and maybe even eats today!?!"

Thank you for all the prayers. :) Looks like she will be able to attend this special benefit that is just for her!!! It's going to be a long day...pray she does well so she can enjoy it as much as possible!

Answer to prayer. Sure hope the benefit goes well for her and she gets to enjoy her special celebration.

The event was terrific from all that I could see!! She was there and seemed to be having a great time too! Thank you again for praying. Our God is awesome and He really heard our prayers and helped Adaila feel well enough to attend today!!!
