Thanks everyone for your support, thoughts and prayers for my husband and myself. He will be having surgery Friday at 7:45 and it will take approximately 4 hours. I'll be back on and give an update when he comes home. |

Thinking of you and your husband. Shirl, The big day has arrived. I guess he has already gone in to surgery this morning. I'll be waiting to hear the good news when you get it. God be with the both of you today. Love, Carol |
My husband is at home and doing very well. He came through the surgery just fine and the Doctor feels he got it all but we won't have the pathology report for another week. Thanks to everyone for your thoughts and prayers. It was such a comfort for us to know that so many people were thinking of us. God bless you all! |
Praying for a cancer free report! Shirl, It has been a long wait and I'm sure your nerves are a little frazzeled. I know it will seem like another long wait for the results. Keep yourself busy and hopefully the time will go by fast. I hope your DH isn't having too much pain. He'll be better before you know it. :) Sending love and more prayers to the both of you. Carol |

I'm glad to hear he came through the surgery without problems. I will keep him and you in my prayers. Also praying for good news when the report comes back. |
Hi everyone, My husband went back to the Dr. today and the bad news was that the cancer was spread outside the prostate and the Dr. wasn't able to get it all. The good news was that the lymph nodes were negative. He'll go back in 4 weeks for a PSA test and if it's high the Dr. will discuss different methods of treatment. If it's low then they will just keep a watch over it. I would appreciate it very much if you'll continue to keep him in your prayers. Thanks so much! |
