AAAWWWW I am so sorry to hear that sweet little Brewster isn't feeling well. The pic is adorable. I am a fan of home cooking - especially when they are sick -- you never really know the quality of the ingredients in dry or commercially prepared kibble. About nutrical -- use it carefully. My vet has cuationed me to always follow Nutrical with a longer burning carb -- even a piece of bread will work. If you don't the sugar level will spike and then crash. I have found that a small portion of nutrical (about english pea size) will help boost the appetite, but too much will raise his sugar level enough to take away the appetite. Hopefully Brewster will continue with his healing. |
Brewster is a new boy today!! YAY! It is amazing what a few meals can do!!! My DH says, "maybe we should give them chicken and rice all the time?" He still isnt drinking like I want him to. But, today he has been playing, chewing bones, tossing toys in the air etc. Totally different boy! However, he still loves to curl up and sleep, so most definitely he is more laid back and calm then the other two. I am one happy Mommy! Looks like my son is going to be OK. :D I forgot to mention he had an ear infection that I am treating. Could that have been another reason he was feeling yucky? Thanks to all of you who gave me advice. I am getting this mommy thing, down! hehe |

So happy to hear your little one is much better! Thanks for the update. :aimeeyork |
I know how you feel. Even though they think they're rotties...they are such tiny tots. Brewster...you have some play time to make up!:) |
Glad to know that your little furbaby is doing much better yaayyyy:aimeeyork |
Brewster has been a totally different baby!! The prescription diet is working as well as chicken and rice. He is playing and eating well. In my opinion he still doesnt drink enough though. He is being neutered today as all his bloodwork looked good. His sissy, Bayleigh is with him, she is being spayed. I am a bit nervous!! |
I will be thinking of your babies and you today and sending good vibes. They will come home and want to sleep so have them in a quiet area away from noise and drafts and by tomorrow they will be tearing up the house. It really is amazing how they bounce back.:) |

That's wonderful news Brewster is so much better. It's so scary when they get sick, same feeling as if one of the kids get sick. You can't help but worry like crazy. Good luck to both today. Wishing both a speedy recovery, |
