Connie, thank you so much. You are Dearest Sweetest Friend and I so appreciate you. ( I hope you do not mind if I post my conversation with Patti ) I spoke with Patti when I woke up this morning as soon as I heard and she was waiting on a friend of her daughters to bring her back to the hospital. She told me that they have moved up the time for the next CT Scan from 9:30 AM to 6:30 AM ( Pacific time) by request of the surgeon. We will know more after this, but it looks like surgery will be required to help relieve the pressure that the bleeding is causing. Her daughters are on their way and were taking the very first flight out. Please continue to keep them both in prayer and thought. Patti, please know that I will keep you and your Jack in my thoughts and prayer's through-out the day today. I got chills reading this thread. I know how serious this is and may the Good Lord watch over Jack and keep him safe. Hugs, |
Patti just called. They did the CT scan early and the bleeding has worsened and Patti said that Jack is not responding now. They are taking him into surgery now. Her daughters won't get there until tonight. I asked if anyone is with her and her neighbor is...I hope he stays there with her. She is so very scared and worried. She kept saying Jack needs prayer. Poor Patti...I just can't stand what she and Jack are going through. I'll keep you updated when I hear anything. |

Patti just called again. Jack is not in surgery yet. They are working with him now and giving him drugs to keep the brain from swelling more. She can not get him to respond, but hopes he hears her talking to him and telling him about all the love and prayers being said. The surgeon will be in soon and do the surgery. She told them to do everything possible for Jack, including life support if needed. She didn\'t talk long because she wanted to get back in with Jack and once they take him for surgery, she doesn\'t know how long it will be that she can\'t be with him. She thanks everyone for their prayers and thank you to Janie and Shaleigh for the phone calls. I\'ll let you know when I hear from her again. |
