I think God is teaching me to fly. Thanks, |
prayers My son is 27 y.o. and I'm going through a similar problem. We have been going through it for 9 years now and I'm now at Gods mercy. There is nothing left for me to do but pray he will get help. He knows he has a problem, but uses his pain for an excuse to take the medication. I know how your feeling and my heart breaks for you. I want you to know my prayers are with you and your son. |

I am so sorry you and your son are going through this. I will have you both in my thoughts and prayers. |
I am so very sorry that you are going thru this. It is the hardest thing that a parent can do but probably the best thing that a parent can do is say "No". Have been through very similar experience, if you need to talk with some feel free to pm me. Hugs. |
Just checking in and also to let you know you and your son are always in my prayers. |
Thanks so much. He went back to work, have not talked to him so don't know how he is doing. He will call if he needs something. |
Donna, You and your son are in my prayers. |
Prayers for all of you from NW FL Just to say that "Tough Love" is the only way to go. We have been through & still going thru this with one of ours. You can always be there for them with love, but there comes a time when you have to draw the line. It tugged at my heart when you said that you hadn't heard from him after his release but know that he will call when he needs something. We learned too well to dread that late night early am phone calls. Yes, we left them in there, hoping it would teach them a lesson. I truly believe I have the most hard headed crew!!! My brother who is 54 is a recovering crack addict told me recently that no one can help you until you want to help yourself. My late mother continued until her last days bailing my brother out of one jam after another. The who time we all tried to help her understand that she was actually helping my brothers addiction problem to continue. I pray that all of you get through this trial and he comprehends the pain & anguish that he is bestowing on you. |

Sorry for what your family has gone through also. Thanks for your thoughts. |
