| please pray for a peacful resoultion I've been off for several months and going threw a rough patch right now. A little background. I moved in Nov last year. Within a few weeks of moving 8 baby rabbits (weaned) all died mystioursly. (poisined) Then in Jan my herd buck died the same way. March our house caught fire and they finnally got done with the major repairs in August. Right before Thanksgiving both of my cockerspaniels were poisined (in my own back yard). Last week I noticed some strange dogs running around my horse pasture. I saw them chasing some of the guineas so I pinned them until I could find their owners. The owner found them (haha) I told her about them chasing my birds and asked her to try and keep them pinned up. She offered to pay for any damages and I told her if she needed help building new pens I would be glad to help her. (She runs a dog kennel on the other side of my horse pasture.) I came home Saturday to 2 dogs in my rabbit barn and my herd of 30 went to 12. Lost several cages also. Then 2 days later one of the same dogs was in my chicken yard and killed most of my flock and then precided to jump at the sides, back and belly of my preg. mare. (she is due in March) I went to the owner and told her of the damages and all she could say was they won't kill your horses it just a game to them (they are aussies) and she will pay for damages but she is unemployed right now and maybe we can work out a trade. A trade for what I'm not sure other than she said I can have her chickens. Please pray for a peacful resoulition between my neighbors and me. Thankyou. Steph |

| I can't imagine living in those kinds of conditions! Her dogs killed most of your pets/farm animals. Can't you call the local sheriff and report this? It looks like she dosen't really care who her dog's kill. Something just isn't right here. Sorry anyone has to live like this. How do you do it? I don't know what else to say. I feel so sorry for you but there must be something that can be done to help you. They are tresspassing afterall. My heavens aren't there property laws in KS? I hope you find a solution to this terrible problem other than shooting her dogs! Sounds terrible I know but you have to protect what belongs to you afterall they are killing everything you own. |

| We did call the sheriff and report it. They said their are no animal control officers out here in the country and we can shot their dogs but if we do with people being sue happy they can sue us if we do. (according to the laws, I'll win) we took pictures of the damages and we are documenting everything. All of my animals are on my property and do not run loose. We do have 3 barn cats that adopted us that are not pinned and the guienas and peacock free roam. My dogs stay on my property in fenced in yard when not in the house. My horses are contained and my rabbits are in individual cages in a rabbit barn that the dogs broke into by damaging the door. We have hot wire all the way around our 30 acres to deter animals from entering and ours from leaving. I do not know what else to do if the neighbors refuse to take control of their dogs other than shoot them. I called the animal shelter and they won't take them if I bring them in because we are in the country and do not take outside the city. The one dog is aggresive towards people and I am afraid to let my children walk down the drive to the school bus. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I will keep you in my prayers. Any ideas on who would be poisoning your animals. Could it be someone else who is upset with the neighbors dogs and thinks there your dogs? Have the police been called at least to make a report.

| We had agressive strays running here and attacking my cat (who had slipped out the door with the kids) and my labs. We didn't want to kill them (my hubby was ready to though) we just wanted them away. So we opted for a paintball gun. It took a few times of them being shot and painted bright pink but we have not seen them again in over a year. Between being shot with the paintball and the sound of the gun they stay away. We still see them but they don't come on our road or property again.
