I wish everyone the best too! I looks like a nasty one! It's amazing how this one turned. Just a few days ago it was suppose to directly hit me and now Florida is in the clear. I hope it doesn't follow Gustav's path, so the people there can recoop. Good luck! |
Yes...please be careful!!!!!! Prayers to all in Ike's path. |
I hope you are right about us being safe here in fla...i live in punta gorda and after going thru charlie in 2004 with a direct hit to us it scares the heck out of me..i sat in the bathroom with my fur babies and thought my condo was going to blow apart...i pray we will all be safe... |
I dk if we are safe or going to get hit.....we are the northshore of New Orleans :(. Everyone please stay safe! |
I just can't even hardly think about it right now, i'm going to try & use up every bit of groceries I've got right now just in case. My mom lives in longview tx & I have a good friend in monroe so I'll just have to see- my kids have now been home for ten days & out of school for a week-I just don't know..... lets just all pray this thing goes far far away or disingrates one. |
I just got back from my parents home and we were talking about when we evacuated last week for Gustav and now IKE....I REALLY REALLY don't want to evacuate again and then to put my baby Bailey in the mix of it all...When we got home from evacuating from Gustav Bailey was so TIREDDDDD poor thing, he just could not wait until we got back home. |
I pray that we can get a reprieve from this one.... I wouldnt wish this on anyone in this world, but truly dont know if our infra-structure can take anymore, not this fast... we are still without power here, and hopefully will get it back before the week is out... WOW everyone, please be safe! d |
Praying for everyone in the path of Ike and asking for prayers for my brother as well. he lives in LA, just got hit by Gustav, then my sister got hit with Hannah and now Ike is going God knows where.... I wished hurricane season would just be over already, this is so nerve wrecking. |
I live in Carthage, TX. We usually get alot of wind and rain...but mostly evacuees. The churches and schools always fill up with people. We have relatives that just went home from Gustav last week, and now it looks like they will be back here this week. I feel so sorry for them. At least I have a dog friendly house for folks to stay in!! |

Thanks! We appreciate all your prayers and good thoughts. We will be evacuating tomorrow. |
This storm really has me scared. We live in southeast Texas and the storm might be coming very near where we live. If it comes in where they are predicting then we will be on the bad side of the storm. I am praying the storm really weakens before landfall and I pray everyone will be safe. When hurricane Rita hit three years ago we had 100 mph winds at our house and no electricity for 3 weeks. I sure don't want to have to experience anything like that again. |
Thoughts and prayers are with everyone, I hope you keep your homes and yourselves and your babies safe. |
I've been watching the weather channel for the past week or so, but just about 10 minutes ago, they said the winds were recorded to be 139 miles per hour, I thought I heard it wrong but they said it again a few minutes ago! Wouldn't that make it a CAT4???? I'm scared to death here, my brother lives in South West Louisiana, being on the worst side of it and not knowing for sure where it's gonna hit, I'm so, so scared. It'll be another sleepless night here more than likely. |

We are on the southwest side of Houston so we look like we will take a direct hit if it stays on path. We have my stepson/DIL/Grandson and their dog with us here!! We are going to ride it out!! Everyone stay safe!! I just hope we don't lose power as it is still in the 90's here during the day. Hugs and prayers to everyone in the path!! :hands: |
