This Is What It Means... To Be Held.... There has been so much heartache here lately.... maybe not even JUST lately... but maybe I've just recently opened my eyes to see it... my heart to feel it..... I don't know.... I know there are troubles of every sort... everywhere... and most all the time.... and like so very many of you, I try my best to send up prayers, offer a bit of my heart... or share some gentle encouragement.... Though it seems that recently - - the sorrow has gone far beyond the scope of those we are able to touch... if even in some small way... I just would like to say a prayer for any and ALL of us who may be dealing with some type of sadness or distress in our lives... Please feel free to post your name - or the name(s) of those who may need our good thoughts and prayers who cannot be here... I hope some of you will join me in prayer..... and know.... that "This Is What It Means To Be HELD... by the hands of our Lord Jesus".............. (Those of you who may not feel comfortable offering prayer... please join with warm wishes, good thoughts or words of comfort and ecouragement) Dear Jesus, Divine Physician... we turn to You in this time of illness... this time of sorrow... this time of heartache and regret... Oh Dearest Comforter of the troubled... alleviate our worry and sorrow with Your gentle love, and grant us the grace and strength to accept our burdens. Dear God, we place our worries in Your Hands. We place our sick under Your care and humbly ask that You restore Your servants and creations to health. Above all, grant us the grace to acknowledge Your Holy will and the knowledge that whatsoever You do, You do for the love of us... May the love of the Lord Jesus draw you to Himself, May the power of the Lord Jesus strengthen you in His service, May the joy of the Lord Jesus fill your soul, May the blessing of God almighty the father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit be with you and remain with you and those you love this day and evermore. ~ AMEN Can you spare a hug??? Thank you for this. He is the Divine healer of all. Please pray that I find strength and comfort in Him when my dreaded panic attacks attempt to take over. My name is Tammy. I would also like to pray for Kim (that the lesion is not cancer), for Amy (that He takes away her cancer through the hands of the surgeon and that it does not return), and for Michele (that she recovers quickly from her allergic reaction), and for my daughter, Brittany (that she comes to know and accept His love). Beautiful. Thanks I just spent 12 hours at the hospital with my 48 year old brother and received good news that his heart blockage has not gotten worse so bypass is not needed. I know prayers work |

Beautiful thread, Dena! I have everyone who needs comfort or strength in my thoughts and prayers. My uncle could use some prayers. His name is Tommy. He's 70 years young. He was recently diagnosed with congestive heart failure and was in the hospital for quite a few days. After his surgery, he was released and he's doing better, but prayers are still very appreciated so he continues healing. Perhaps my family too, as we're still going through some really rough financial times and it gets really frustrating sometimes. My dad works 3 jobs - so everything usually gets paid, but he's almost never home. I'm not asking for prayers that we'll win the lottery (lol), just that my dad (Ken) will stay strong to keep working and that maybe things can get a bit better $$ wise around here. |
My thoughts and prayers go out to all those in need..... this is a super thread, can't beleive there arent more posts.... this is beautiful! d |
Song is beautiful! Thank you for not being ashamed in the word! Too many people are embarrassed to speak about Jesus, praying, The Bible...it warms the heart to see that in today's world that there are still so many people willing to stand up in the name of the lord.....wow...almost started to sound like a sermon...:D...I think I would like to add all the people in the world too embarrassed, too scared, too lost, and the seeking for healing and that they do indeed find the road to God. |
What a perfect thread to read right before bed and a time when I really need it. Tomorrow will be six months since my mom passed and my sisters and I and our families will be doing the Relay for Life for the American Cancer Society in honor of our parents. I still remember the day she walked as a "Survivor" and how proud she was. I miss her! I miss them both. Thank you, Dena, for the beautiful prayer and song. Goodnight. |
This is a wonderful thread.God is really good. I would like to pray that everyone prayers are answered. I pray that my grandmother will no longer have to take B12 shots and that whatever the doctor saw in the xrays, the mass whatever is gone. I pray that I am able to forgive my grandpa and uncle. I pray that God heals my heart and that he opens up my friend's eyes and let him know that I am truly in love with him.I pray that baby Jeremiah will be able to breathe on his own. I pray that my mom finds all the strength that she needs to succeed and that she gets her a van soon and no longer have to depend on other people transportation. |
I pray for my family and my friends tonight. That my family be made whole again.. physically, mentally and emotionally. I lift up anyone coping with sadness or pain. I pray for all of God's creatures that are neglected and suffering. May God wrap his arms gently around us all and remind us daily just who He is and we are not alone. That He is always there. I pray for peace for my mind and the strength to go into each new day with hope, remembering that joy comes in the morning and that it is God's will that prevails. Last but not least I pray for my grandson Nathan. That God touches and heals his little body and mind, that he lives a long and happy life...and for the struggle that his parents are enduring. I give thanks for the sunrise this morning, as it is another chance to get things right. ~Amen |
Thank you Dena, for this thread. I have always said you are a kind and caring woman. My prayers are for all in need, human or other. May they be blessed today and always. Sheilagh |
I would like to offer a prayer request for my husband who lost his life to suicide seven years ago this month and to anyone that has survived suicide or any of lifes struggles...always know that "God only gives you what you can handle". The ones left behind from a suicide suffer deeply. Thanks for the beautiful prayer and song. |
I have always loved that song. Thanks for posting it. I would like to send a prayer up for eveyone who is struggling financially due to our inflated gas & food prices &/or loss of jobs. I know this isnt the type of prayer request everyone else is posting but it is a MAJOR issue in the world today & I feel like soooo many are struggling to even put food on the table. It causes such a strain & heartache in a family which could potentially lead to split families. I pray this ends soon... people are struggling just to get to work & earn the unraised pay to put minimum food on their tables, pay the bills & provide for their families, who trust everything is alright. |
What a BEAUTIFUL thread!! I too will offer my prayers!! :hands: I would like to lift up our men and women in the military defending this great nation!! Without them, none of us would be free! God Bless our Service Men and Women!!! :smileyfla |
So sad to know that little Taffy has succumbed to the illness that so suddenly struck her - - and has gone to the Rainbow Bridge to meet her brother Kosmo.... I would like to continue prayers and lift up Taffy's Mom Suzy and all of those close to her.... that she may find strength to endure the days to come... :hands: |
I have started praying for each of the friends on my contact list as I leave them greetings every day. I also know that there are quite a few people on YT who are going thru hard times but physically and emotionally. I lift them up. I pray that my friend Cindy will soon be pain free; that Jenny will recover from her car accident quickly; that Mandee will have a safe delivery; that Patti will heal quickly; that Sheilagh will soon be able to relax and heal; that Debra will someday be rid of her pain; that her daughter Ashley will recover and be pain free; that my daughter Barbi will deliver a healthy baby; that Jodie's husband will find a job that he loves. I know there are many more and I would also like to lift up our military personnel and their familys. In Jesus name.... |
What a beautiful thread Dena. I thank you for including my Dad and I. I also will offer my prayers, positive thoughts, and well wishes to those in need of them through their trying times. :) Hugs my dear friends......I am only ever a request away from being here if you need to talk. :) |
My Dad I would like to lift up my Dad who was diagnosed with Mesothelioma (cancer of the lungs caused by Asbestos Exposure) on June 10th. Lord I pray you will comfort him and give him strength in the days to come through his chemo and the removal of the lining of his lung. I pray Lord that you will give him as much time with us as you can and when you can no longer let him stay, take him with you and hold him in your loving arms forever. Amen. |

Today, I would like to lift up in prayer.... a wonderful woman named Pat - as well as her family and friends who are so dear to her.... Pat is not a YT'er but is a very courageous, very strong lady... who after a long, tough battle - is in the end stages of her disease (cancer) and is soon to go home to our Lord. Pat is tired.... the family is tired.... and I just hold them close in prayer and ask that they all find the strength to endure... May God hold Patti in his arms and carry her home in peace.... :hands: |
Today we ask that even in the midst of all we face in our own lives, that we would not lose sight of your greatest commandments to us. Help us, Lord, to love you with all our heart, soul, strength, and mind. Help us also to see how to love our neighbor as ourselves. Even as we have many trials, we ask that we would see the trials that others are facing as well. We pray that you would show us opportunities to extend your mercy and grace to others, even as you have shown your mercy and grace to us in our own lives. I raise up the family of "J" and "S". That they will soon rest in the end of their financial struggles and never lose sight of the importance of family and the values that hold them all together in Christ. In Jesus Name, Amen |
I'd like to raise up a co-worker of mine. A very young, very sweet girl who is going through more financial stress and health problems than someone her age should ever have to face. (Cassandra is her name) She is sick and the doctors did tests and they cannot figure out what is wrong with her. She cannot afford anymore testing so she lives daily in pain so constant and chronic with no end in sight. She is only 25, has a 2 year old daughter and they think she might have Fibromyalsia. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. This sweet girl has become a very angry, depressed, miserable, pessimistic person, and I would like her to be able to be happy and pain free again. To enjoy the life she should be. |
