Houston meet-up date and location Let's all meet on Saturday, May 26th at Danny Jackson dog park around 10:00 a.m. (Let's do Millie park next time). Danny Jackson Dog Park Location: Just inside the loop and just South of 59 - under the power lines, on Westpark Drive between Loop 610 and Loop Central. If anyone needs help with directions, just let me know:) I hope 10:00 is a good time for everyone....even if you show up a little late, we should be hanging around for a little while. Can't wait to see you all there!!!!!! |

I am in Beaumont, sounds like fun, have been to Millie Bush park to a meet up before. Sounds like this park is closer. Is there a site for the park and is there an area for just small dogs? My yorkies had so much fun at the last one. If someone has the address I can get a map off the comp. |

Yep, we will definitely be there. Tatum can't quite figure out why I'm so excited. Like I said in the other thread, all she knows is that she's "going for a ride".... just can't figure out when and where! Can't wait!! |

Which way would be faster, I am coming from the east on I-10, should I go 610 loop or go 59. Any info would be appreciated. |

Westpark is pretty accessable from the Loop - the only thing bad about this park location is it's in a busy part of town BUT - if you're on the loop you should have no problem and you can always turn around on Westpark if you miss it. |
Hey there, I posted this on another thread but wasn't sure who was reading what so here I go again.... I had a little favor to ask of ya'll..... do any of you that will be there Saturday make bows with french barrettes? Someone made Tatum a couple of them and the kind of barrette she used (kinda like a french barrette but not really - don't know what it's called) is just too small. I was able to pry a barrette off an old smooshed bow that we had and glue it to one of her new bows but I need one more. I'm sure you can get these at craft stores but not sure how many you have to buy. I just need ONE. If any of you have one of those and will be there Saturday, I'd love to buy one off of you. Thanks!! |
Awww, man..... looks like a really high chance of rain on Saturday. I'm trying to be optimistic BUT do we have a rain-out backup location? Is there a covered area at the park or something? I SO want to do this so I'm hoping there's some sort of optional plan.... just in case. |

I will check the thread before I leave, didn't know the chance of rain in Houston, here in Beaumont it is only 20% I am going to hit the road around 8 am. Got my group all bathed and told them we are going bye bye and they are excited. |

Dad-gummit. I've been so stinkin' busy I haven't had a chance to check in on YT. I have to go to the office today as I'm on vacation next week and don't want to leave any unfinished business. Tatum and I had a great time also finally getting to meet some of you. Although it was a long, stressful drive back to Brenham in the sometimes pouring rain, at least Tatum got to rest when we got home. I dropped her off at home and then drove another hour to Elgin to get my daughters from my friends house where they had been since Friday and then drove back home. A total of 5 hours driving yesterday and it felt like it was a straight through drive. I was exhausted by the time I got home. I agree with the others, Sprout was a hoot. He is such a doll though... how can you get upset with him?? ;) Your others were all adorable too. Not sure how you do it with all five! We did just barely beat the rain. I'm so glad we didn't get rained out but driving in ya'lls crazy city of Houston in the rain was definitely no fun for this country gal! I'd love to meet up again so we'll just have to set a date and see who all can come next time! |
OHHHHH SHUUUUUUTTTTT!!!!!! I CAN NOT BELIEVE IT I MISSED IT... I just never knew it was going to happen... I have to make an habit of checking this forum too...:angry: :( :( |
