Hey... weather is staring to get a little warmer around here. Anyone ready to start planning a playdate/meet n greet??? My Rusty could sure use some socializing !!!!

What you could do is tack some info up at all the Vets. shelters and pet stores, on starting a play date at your house. Should go over really well. Maybe advertize in the local newspaper.

Are there not many Okies on here? Just curious. I always look at peoples info and RARELY see an oklahoma person. If not I guess I will just have to not be picky and let him get together with whoever will get together (breed wise)
Sure would be fun to see a bunch of yorkies running around together though.
I will think about posting something at the Vets & pet stores....

Greetings from another Okie. We're not too far from Tuttle. We live in McLoud. We are the proud parents of two Yorkies. Cricket is 3 years old and Lexi is 2 years old! I met a young lady in OKC yesterday that has 5 adult Yorkies and just had 4 new puppies.

There are A lot of Okies. I think that people forget to go to this section. We had a meet up in Norman last year.

We kept having to reschedule it due to bad weather. We finally had it at Top Dog Daycare. They let us use their facilities.

Looks like everyone had fun. There is a place in OKC that allows palydate booking too. Central Park. I had one of their brochures and that is what made me think of it.

Sounds like Top Dog was nice & treated ya good though. I will watch this section for announcement of one for this year so we can come meet the other Okies.

Hi! I have 4 yorkies and live in Tulsa. I don't know where Tuttle is. Is it more towards OKC? My daughter lives in Edmond.

Yes... Tuttle is about 20 mins SW from OKC... so basically I live in OKC.

Okay. Let us know if there is a playdate. We can drive to OKC. Just did this weekend to visit daughter.

I just got my 1st little yorkie yesterday and she is soo cute I just can't get her to sit still long enough to take picture of her :) Anybody down around Mcalester?

Anyways, glad you found this thread so early in your posting with us. We will definately let you know when we do a playdate. Take playing pictures of her and post them in the MY Yorkie section... we all want to see her. We love knew furkids/furbabies.
Introducing yourself in there might find you someone closer to your area, alot of times this section of the site gets missed.
Good to hear from you and again... welcome.

I am actually from Oklahoma... I am just away during the week at college... Well I suppose "we" (me and the kiddos) are away... So you're not an all alone Okie!!! :D

Cool, so if we make sure to do a weekend playdate you may be able to make it? Where are you going to school and what part of OK are you from?

I ran into yet another yorkie owner at petsmart class tonight... told him about YT and that we were talking about arranging a playdate... he was all over that idea. He said Chloe (THE cutest little thing) would just love that & so would he. I told him he needed to hop on and join us.....at least i will let him know when the playdate is

i'm from okc..i have 2 yorkies..well 3 if you count my sister's that I take care of! we'd love to have a play date. i have some friends with yorkies as well..we use to do playdates all the time at different dog parks! i can do any saturday except the 24 of this month and the 21 of this month.. i'll be in texas!
