I'm originally from Oklahoma, Taloga, which is just north of Clinton - and I've been to Cordell (or through it) lots of times! Taloga is on highway 183, like Cordell! Most all our relatives still live in Norman, Moore, Edmond, and Taloga! :) |
Okay. . . what do ya'll think of either April 22nd, or April 29th. And maybe late afternoon. . . 4pm, for those that might be driving a couple hours it might be easier to make it??? Also it'll be daylight longer by then. . . :aimeeyork |
22nd would be hard for me hubby will be in St Thomas. I will have kids by myself. 29th would be fine will need to get away! |
Either day works for me. |
I think I have a class on the 22nd but the 29th should work as long as my sister doesn't plan my niece's birthday on that day too. |
The 29th works better for me. :animal-pa |
Either Day works for me! |
Depending on the location and the date/time Luna would love to come :) i work 10pm-8am 7 days straight every other week so it just depends |
Sounds like 29th would be the best. My son has a soccer game that day; also noticed a few people might be driving in, or working all night the night before, lol. So does 4p.m fit into everyone's schedule? Also I'm going to go look at the Yukon dog park this weekend to check out the agility section. I figure we'll either meet at the Hefner Dog Park (with the doggie bakery, lol), or if the Yukon dog park is really impressive. . . :aimeeyork |
4 pm is good with me as long as it is the yukon dog park. otherwise it makes it to late for me to drive home with the kids. :) |
4:00 at either place is good for me! |
Sorry to say at that time and date i will be sleeping being as i work that night....but i hope you all have a great time maybe we will get to go to the next one |
Thanks for the info! We went to the bakery this weekend. Katy loves the vanilla tendons. We stopped by the park as well. There was a lot more small dogs there than is at the Norman park. I loved the swimming pond for the big dogs. It was fun to watch them all swimming. Quote:

that sounds good for me. I will need some time away! can't wait to see the other Okie furr babies! |
Sorry, we won't be making it. A 4pm start time is just too late for us driving back. Maybe next time! :) Have fun & can't wait to see pics! |
if the earlier date is better for everyone I can find someone to watch my kidos. and as far as the time we can make it anytime. just want as many people to be able to come as possible. |
I agree, and we can always have the meetup anytime between 2 and 4p. Sorry I haven't posted I've been sick with a sinus infection, and have been sleeping the last few days away, lol. But a earlier time would be fine -- my son's Soccer game is at 12p, so I can make 2p on up on the 29th. . . Also, I made it to the Hefner Park also this weekend, Katy's Mom, and it was awesome. I didn't get over to Yukon since I started feeling feverish late Saturday night, lol. Maybe we could just settle on Hefner, about 2p on the 29th. If someone can't make the day and time, let me know. . . hopefully we can adjust it to get as many people together as possible?? |
Hefner park at 2:00 sounds good to me. |

I am pretty sure that it is the one at 73rd and grand by the dog bakery. If you take 44 North and get off on 63rd, go East, go North on May, then left (West) on Grand. It is the one on the right side of the road before you go back over 44. But please some one correct me if I am wrong. Quote:

I am not a very strong/confident driver, so if anybody can find an address let me know. I am a pro at using mapquest  |
We will be there! I checked with the pups they said they would love to see all the cute Oklahoma furr babies! |
|
Thanks for the link! If anyone has kids you may be interested to know a rule of the park is no children under 10 allowed. Just thought I'd mention it. Mine are staying at home anyway but I didn't know if anyone planned on bringing theirs. |
My jaw dropped at "puppies must be at least 4 months old" But then I realized that the 19th is his 16-week birthday  |
The Norman park has the 4 month requirement too. I think it is because they should have had all their shots by then. |
Ooh, that makes sense. Good policy. |
That does make sense (old enough to have all shots). Leaving my kids at home also due to the policy. Better that way anyway, lol, I'll be a lot more relaxed without have to watch my 5 and 6 yr old on top of the two pups! |
I won't be able to attend since kids under 10 arn't welcome. I have 4 kids and only one would be able to come. I don't have anyone that can watch them. :( |
