| Close to Denton, Texas?! Anyone planning on attending the Dog Days of Denton festivities Friday May 29 and Saturday May 30? I was at the dr's office yesterday and was reading through a Denton magazine and saw the ad for this...looks like fun. This is the 16th year so I am sure some of you have attended prior. We're hoping to attend. Dog Days of Denton

Yorkie Lover Donating Member | We attended in 2006 and had a good time. The stores on the square allowed the dogs in their stores and the square was full of vendors and fun things to do....some I had not seen at other events. We will try to attend again this year if there is not a dog show.

| I've gone several times and plan to go again this year. They've moved it to a park just outside of downtown proper. It's much nicer for the kids. Tree's, lots of shade and all grass so no hot sidewalks. Vendors have always been good there. My only advice is to get there as early as possible, to get a decent parking spot, to avoid the worse of the crowds and even tho it's only May, the last couple of years the afternoons have been fairly hot. It would be nice to try and arrange a meet up there.

We keep planning on going back to the area for a visit (usually around Bayfest time) but something ALWAYS seems to come up. I know it has probably changed drastically...the last part of the city we lived in was Ocean Drive...love that area!

| I'll go before hand and check out the park, parking, and a place where we can all meet up.

| For anyone interested, there is a dog show coming up in Denton on May 9 & 10th. It will be held at the Denton County Fairgrounds. Times for Yorkies won't be available until the end of this month.

| Wish I had seen this earlier, I would have went. I am in NW Fort Worth, real close. Was gonna go to the Jazz Fest last weekend but remembered the big deal they made the past couple years about not allowing dogs so I didn't go. Took him to the Main Street Arts Fest a couple weeks ago. Brought him in his doggie stroller! He was the center of attention! So much so I couldn't really look at things!!!
