| Hi Lyn, I would highly recommend my vet. Dr Daryl at Preston Road Animal Hospital. Preston Rd & 635. 972-239-1309 I'll have no other. He and the staff there are so incredible. I first encountered them when Annie was having her problems and ultimately we had to end her suffering. The were so amazingly kind and considerate during all of that. Now all 3 of ours go there. He is very knowledgeable about the small breeds. You can discuss with him your feelings about treatments, he'll give you all the info, pro's and con's and when you've made your discission he'll not pressure you to change it. For instance the Lepto shot. He told me his view point and when I said I really didn't want to risk it with Gracie or Yogi, he didn't continue to try and change my mind. He actively seeks other opinions from specialists when something odd presents itself. I like that he realizes he may not know it all and isn't threatened by that. The clinic is owned by a husband & wife, both vets. And they carry a pager 24/7. So if something comes up, you can get ahold of a vet not an answering service. Dr D does all his own surgeries. If they have to stay overnight, there is someone with them all night. I haven't felt this way about a vet for probably 20 years. If you stop by to see the place or call, you can tell them Mrs Murray, Gracie & Yogi's mom referred you. I'm not sure if they know my name , but they sure know who Gracie and Yogi are.
