Any Yorkie moms want to meet for a play date in Ft. Worth, TX area? I have a 5 mo. old female Yorkie who needs to socialize and expend some energy. If any Yorkie moms want to plan a play date in my area, let me know.:) Cherie __________________ |
This is rather ironic, I have a 5 month old female and I live in keller too. Mine is pretty well socialized, she just needs someone to play with that has as much energy as her... |

Well, I'm not in the Ft Worth area...more the North Dallas area, but I'd love to meet up with some other Yorkie Moms. :D I'd be willing to drive over. Gracie Ruth is 9 months old, Yogi is 3 months. He's not through all his shots yet so he wouldn't be able to come along. And Boo, who is 6 yrs, doesn't enjoy long car rides, so I probably wouldn't bring him either. Although he'd enjoy the interaction and he is very gentle with the young ones. So once you decide on a location, date/time let me know and I'd love to come if I can. :D |

Hi! I live in Abilene..... not really in your area, but depending on the date you set, we would like to try to make it if that's okay? I have four yorkies, 2 adults, 2 that are 22 weeks old and 3 that are a month old. I wouldn't bring all of them of course.... I'm not that much of an overachiever :D |
Playdate Thanks for the interest in the playdate. Several people are interested in meeting. This will be the first time I have set one of these up, so anyone with suggestions on location, date and time would be welcome. Twalla had suggested Southlake in one of her posts, which sounds good to me as it is very close to my home, but I am open to other ideas. Since this is the last weekend before Thanksgiving, we'll have to either make some very quick plans or shoot for after Thanksgiving. I already have a committment for this Saturday afternoon. A meet up sounds fun. We have not had one in a long time. Southlake Dog park is nice, but it is getting cold outside. I would suggest going to Pouch Patio in DT Dallas since it is starting to get cold. They have patio sitting, but it is heated with TVs. Plus they sale drinks such as coffee, beer, wine, etc. They have told us once before that we can bring in food as long as we buy our drinks from them. |
Playdate Hi Rockster's mom, Good suggestion -- especially on the weather predictability. I'm okay with Pooch Patio (DT Dallas) if everyone else is. Hi everyone. I'm sorry I haven't been around and setting up playdates lately - it looks like it'll be March or so before I'm able to do that again. But come March - ya'll better be ready! :D I really miss everyone. Just this morning, a co-worker was showing me a pic of a dog stuck in a tree, and I just had to share the incident we had at the last playdate. Pixie and Bogey are doing well. So is Maggie. I hope everyone else is, too. :D |

I'll be watching this thread, as my girls come home in in january and will need lots of extra socialization From Other people as well as dogs as they are very shy. I live north of fort worth, both Keller and southlake are easy for me to get to |
I just now saw this. I think there is a Valentine's playdate in the planning stages. We haven't had one for awhile. |

January or February Play Date/Keller-Southlake Area I'm glad so many of you of interested in getting together for a play date. It doesn't matter to me whether it's January or February or even where we meet. I had initially talked about Keller or Southlake, but I would be willing to meet somewhere else if need be. It's my understanding there is a dog park in Southlake that would be a good location. I guess it all depends on the best date for everyone and whether the weather will be nice. I imagine a weekend would be better for most people. The weekends in January are 3rd & 4th; 10th & 11th; 17th & 18th; 24th & 25th. I'm open for any of these weekends. Let's all look at our calendars and set a date. I suggest if none of these weekends are good, then we can look at February. Cherie & Lily:aimeeyork |

My babies and I still won't make anything until March, but I thought I'd comment :D We have in the past held play parties at the Southlake dog park - it is a great place with lots of trees and such, but ONLY if the weather is nice as it is all outdoors. With freezing weather, I for one wouldn't be wanting to go stand outside with the dogs :p There's a place in Dallas that some of the group (not me, so I don't know exactly where it is) has also met - they allow dogs on the patio. I don't know how appropriate that would be or if even that would be too cold this time of year, but at least some of the wind would be blocked. I think I heard someone mention in the summer that they had fans out there. I also found a relatively new dog park in Arlington - I haven't been there yet, but when the weather is better AFTER February, I'll be going to check it out, too. :D Hope everyone has fun at this playdate! |
If we go to the Southlake dog park I would suggest the end of the month. The 24th or 25th is good for me. Just because I would hope we would have a nice day to be outside. I am looking forward to meeting everyone! |

Southlake/Keller playdate I'm available to meet for a playdate pretty much any weekend. Someone mentioned January 24th or 25th. Either is fine with me. Lily has plenty of energy to expend! Cherie & Lily :) |
