Hello fellow Houstonians and members from surrounding areas!! I wanted to know if there will be a meet-up anytime soon. :rolleyes: My little baby boy Max will be turning 1 on March 5th and I wanted to throw him a party with other YTers furbabies. :party: So if there's not a date set-up for a meet-up maybe we can come up with a date and celebrate my baby's birthday. :p Also does anyone know of a dog bakery in or around the Houston area?:confused: |
Hello! I have not heard of any planned meet-ups, the last one was in October I think so we are due for one! Not sure where you live, but I know that the Chocolate Bar on W. Alabama has dog bones and cookies, not sure about cakes... My crew love to go to the meet-ups, we missed the last one. One was at Millie Bush park and I forgot the name of the other one, it was off 610. It is about a 2 hour trip for us, but we love to go. |

I am going to be in Houston next week with my furbaby and won't have anything to do during the day on Thurs, Fri and Sat (Feb 21st-23rd) and would love to meet up with anyone at a dog park. I am from Kansas City, MO but my husband has a conference in Houston so Cappi and I are coming along. I have been reading about all the great dog parks you guys have and am excited to check them out. We don't have very many here and most do not have separate places for small dogs. Anyone interested? Melissa |

Tatum and I might be able to make it on the 15th. We went to the last two and it was really nice to meet up with the others. Both of those parks are maybe a little under 2 hours away for me but it was worth the trip. The only thing about that date is that it's during Spring Break for most people and that might affect who is around to make it. That would be the only thing stopping us - if we decide to take the kids somewhere - but if we can get a few to agree on that date, I will certainly try to be there. And thanks for posting on the other forum. I always forget to come check out this one. I'll try to remember to bump it up again later so it doesn't get lost. And yes, Erin...... if you still have the list of names that you contacted last time, that would really help. I know each time people mention after the fact that they missed it because they didn't see the thread. |
I too have been to both parks - Millie and the one on Westpark - Millie is a bit nicer - that's where I just moved from but I sure will try to make it !! |
My husband and I have been to this park. We think it's a bit nicer than the Millie Bush park. It's across the street from the Houston Farm and Ranch. I also think it will be a bit closer and easier to get to for most everyone. We will definitely be there no matter what date. LOL. Either park will be fine. I thought the Millie since I know that was were we met last time but that new park (Congressman Bill) does seem nicer and has more space. I picked March 15 because it just came to my mind but if its better to be moved one week after that is fine. The more members that are able to attend the better.:D I just really want to celebrate my baby's b-day with other members. As its his first and I want to have some pics of it. And I would like to get to know you all in person. So lets get this baby planned. :p |

I would love to go but that's my spring break and I'll be 6 hours away from there. I'm not going home for Easter so we're having "Easter Dinner" that day with all our family coming over. I wish it was another weekend :( I'll try to make the next one |

Well, we would be able to make ANY weekend date, Sat or Sun. But, we completely agree - the more the merrier! Would an early birthday meetup for Max be possible??? How about everyone posting those weekend dates they would be able to make? That way, we could figure out the date likely to have the largest turnout? Oh - and is it agreed that the Bill Archer park would be the easiest for most to find and get to? |
Dates in March Well, it looks like the 1st is the only date we here in Bryan/College Station can make a March meet-up. Michele will be out of town on the 8th & 15th, Gayla can't make it on the 15th either, the 22nd is Easter weekend, and the 29th is the dog show in Navasota. |
