Praying for your mommy and her new babies. |
Good luck with this litter!! Glad you are working so closely with your vet...Reece was neutered a couple days ago as he and Soleil are brother and sister lol...cant wait to see what a corkie looks like?? Dawn |
Good luck. I hope they come while you're home this weekend. Praying that mom & babies are all fine. I'm sure the babies will be adorable. Don't forget to take lots of pics. Hope your cocker spaniel enjoyed his last "fling" before his operation! Did you let him know how much trouble he got you into? :p I'll be watching for news & pics. |
Website for a picture of a corkie is dogbreedinfo.com Just type in Corkie and there is an adorable picture on the front page of "belle" She is gorgeous!!! Will come back Monday and let you all know. |
I was just checking to see if you've had those precious babies yet. Hope everything is okay with you guys. Can't wait to see those pups. |

I haven't been around much because I have been going to school and working full time but came across this and others that have shocked me by some of the reaction and harshness of others. We all are here because of our love for not only our animals but all animals. I am not an expert and learn something new everyday about my baby, but that why this site is so wonderful. I hope and pray your baby is good and everything turns out great why would anyone want anything different. Kindness is defined as the practice of being or the tendency to be sympathetic and compassionate. Right or wrong in ones beliefs does not mean you can't be kind! Please keep us update.:) |
hoping for a safe delivery. |
get your yorkie spayed before she has the puppys |

So how is the puppy watch going? Do you have any puppies yet? I love cockers. Cockers and yorkies are two of my favorite breeds (although as separate breeds). Can't wait to see the pups and how they turn out. I have never seen a yorkie/cocker mix. Good luck!! Keep us updated!! |
crickett Well so far no puppies...she is nesting though...She has been hunting for a place..so I pulled her kennel out this weekend and got it all cleaned up and ready. I can clearly see the puppies now and she seems to be pretty perky!! But I can tell she is ready to have them. I am hoping she will wait till I get home this evening. Thankfully my husband will be home most of the day today. Keep the prayers coming. I can hardly think about anything else I am so worried about her. :( |
Update Mercy....she still has not had those puppies....I am going crazy!! Today would be 62 days I believe...So surely anytime now...I keep watching her..bless her heart, everytime she dissapears I go hunt her down!! She probably thinks I am crazy!! |
Sounds like anytime now! This is exciting! Good luck and hoping for a smooth and troublefree whelp. Please post pics afterwards, I'm really curious how they look. |
Just worried. I want to be there to make sure she is ok...I am afraid she will go while I am at work. Of course babies never come when you want them to. If she doesnt go today or tomorrow she is heading to the vet!! I am excited...cant wait to see the little boogers!!! I love my babies...:animal36 :lovewings |
Is someone watching mom while you're at work? This is very unsafe to begin with. Someone has to be there. I hope she does fine. |
Was just checking in to see if you have babies yet, praying for you all. |
Just checking to see if those babies have made their grand entrance yet. Prayers going out for mom & babies, and you too! Hope she has them while you're there. |
My husband went home at lunch and checked on her and my daughter will be home within the next 1/2 hour. Then I will be home thru tomorrow. I know how dangerous this is and would have never intentionally put her in danger...by the time we knew what was going on it was too late...so I am doing all I can to ensure her safety. She will be going to the vet this evening or tomorrow morning to stay for the day. |
Addendum Also, Crickett is larger than most yorkies. She is about 8-9 pounds and she usually has small puppies, around 4 pounds. Both my brother and mom have her puppies and they are really small and dainty. so maybe, praying really hard, these puppies will be small too...she doesn't look any bigger than she was at her last litter last year....so we are hoping... |
Update STILL no puppies....I am starting to get concerned. She doesn't act like she even wants to now, other than being clingy...she actually seems to have calmed down some. I just don't know. I am taking her to the vet this afternoon just to be checked out and make sure all is well..she is worrying me to death!! Her milk hasn't come yet..so who knows...I just don't want these puppies to get any bigger!! |
We're praying for her! Keep us updated! |
We're praying for your baby and her babies!! |
good luck i cant wait to see pics.. and i hope everything goes well i had an oops litter last year where the male was larger than the female and we had no problems..and i have never seen that be a problem with the shelter i work for. i thought it was really ugly for someone to say you had a bad vet because he said it would be okay..i would assume he has more experience and knowledge then most people and probably sees this on a daily basis and if he thought there was reason for concern he would have terminated the pregnancy early on. i also found it ugly to have her fixed now when the babies are do now..that would be killing puppies..stop and think..just because she has an opps litter doenst mean she shouldnt do it again with another yorkie..and i highly doubt 3-4lb larger male will make any difference in the size of the actual babies... it didnt for me. it really depends on how many she is having if she is only have 1 then that one would probably be larger because he is getting all the nurtrients and not having to share any..vs 3-5 babies sharing, they cant get but so big. |
I wish you all the best i hope eveything turns out ok. Can't wait to see pics!! As for the rest of you i am shocked that you can be so supportive to others that have had accidents but so harsh on others:confused: i just don't get it. She obviously didn't plan this and she has taken precautions so it never happens again she came here for help and you all tried to run her off. I am glad you stayed. Yes this can be a scarry situation but geeeeze!!!! Lets help her not bash the poor woman! |

Why would I want to have her fixed? She had a successful litter last year and as long as the vet says it is ok, I intend to breed her again next year, only this time with a Yorkie.( which was always my intent) I have had the male dog in my house fixed...so there should not be any more accidents. I NEVER intended for this to happen. And I would NEVER EVER EVER kill the puppies by making her have an abortion unless the vet says it is necessary to save her life. I would appreciate no more negative comments about what I should or shouldn't do. I will do what my vet advises me is in the best interest of crickett. I will not put her through a surgery unless it is absolutely necessary. To those who are being supportive I sure do appreciate it. This has been quite stressful for me...My crickett is like my child..It would devestate me if something happened to her. Thanks for all the wonderful info from everyone else. I am hoping and praying that she does as well as she did last time. She had the last litter so quick and easy she didn't even make a sound. Vet says 4 babies this time around too. :animal-pa |
