Pet Sitting / Boarding (nooo!!) in New Orleans area?? - YorkieTalk.com Forums

I have a conference down there May 23-25. My company will not allow me to stay at a pet-friendly hotel for this trip. After that, I will be going to Destin, FL for Memorial Day so I need somewhere to leave my dogs while in N.O. .....which I HATE to do, but have no choice! Would anyone happen to have a recommendation for me? Thanks for your help!

Is your company paying for where you stay? Maybe if they have a budget on the place, they can give you the money for another hotel and you can just pay the difference?

Thanks, you make a valid argument for me, but they are requiring that we stay AT the specific hotel that the conference is at. No budging. Big corporation and their way is the highway.

There are weird booth hours, and different events at the hotel....so they say I must stay there so there's no taxi-ing around the whole time. They are being cheapskates.

I just don't think they like the idea of my bringing my dogs for whatever reason.

It's a conspiracy!!

I live 45 minutes north of New Orleans....if you can't find anywhere close to where you will be staying , I would be willing to help you out for the few days that you would be there.

I have a 5 month old baby (Gordon) and I babysit his sister (Kasey) for my son and his wife.

If you wouldn't mind the 45 minute drive , you could even visit your babies and I am sure you would like to see where your babies are staying.

Thank you soooo much for offering!! That reallly is the sweetest thing ever! I've now find a nice couple in my neighborhood who have a mini-Schnauzer that they love and treat like their baby (as I do mine.) We are going to do a pet-sitter exchange, so I think it's going to work out perfectly. thanks so much for offering though! Really!

Anytime, and I hope you enjoy your stay in New Orleans.

That is so nice to have someone close by to swap out watching your babies. I know how special Gordon is to us, and would feel better having somewhere I could leave him knowing it would be safe.

Have a safe time in New Orleans and if something should happen that the couple couldn't keep your babies , my offer still stands.....just PM or email me.
