Amelia came from a breeder down in Waynesville who no longer breeds Yorkies. Rosie, our new adoptee, came from Toccoa. She is a 5 year old retired girl. |

I remember the first zaxby's too. In that little hut in beside Henry's Haircut's in the plaza. It is crazy how they are already all over the southeast, I love Zaxbys! |
We sure do! It's over behind McDonald's -- closest to I-16. I don't know why they hid it way over there! We also have a pretty good seafood restaurant now - Crabby Joes. Not as good as Ocean Galley (or Ocean Galley several years ago. Haven't eaten there in a long time) - but it's pretty good, nonetheless! I just hosted my Dad's surprise birthday party there. We had a low country boil buffet. MMMMM.....yet another thing I love about home! :D I'm coming home again probably in the next month or so (after DD gets out of school). Do you have any good restaurant suggestions in Statesboro? It's been a few years since I've been there, so I haven't a clue what y'all have anymore. Is Ocean Galley still good? |

We have SOOOO many restaurant here now! My personal favorite is a place called Shane's Ribshack. They have awesome ribs, BBQ (though not as good as Vandys), and chicken fingers- they use fresh chicken and it taste so much better than other places! Its located over by the hospital. I don't know if you are a fan of El Sombrero or not, but we are getting a new HUGE one- two stories w/ a deck and everything. It should be open in about 5 wks. Its over behind Walmart. The college El Sombrero (near the park) doesn't have good food anymore, but the one behind Hardees is sooo good. I'm hoping the new one will have the same quality food as the one behind Hardee's. If you need any other suggestions on where to eat, just let me know! :D |
I'm moving to Chattanooga which is on the TN GA border only an hour and half from Atlanta. |

My cousin used to work at Vandy's! Mmm! I'd forgotten about their good BBQ! That's one place I haven't taken my husband yet (he's a Los Angeles native, but thanks to my training LOVES Southern food). And 3 El Sombreros!? Oh my goodness! I haven't been there in ages, but last I went, there was only one! Wow! I tell you - Statesboro is really growing! BTW - I used to live over in the apartment complex across from GSU on 301 coming into town. For the life of me, I can't remember what they were called then, although, I can remember my address there like it's no one's business! I just googled the addy & it looks like they're called Varsity Apartments now. Don't know what they're like now, but back then it was pretty quiet in terms of GSU apartment complexes. That was about 10 years ago, though. There are probably 10 more built up around it by now. I have a lot of fond memories of Statesboro! It's such a fun place! |

For those looking for some great vets, I found Dr Duffy In Winder and am very happy with him and their office. I left my vet of 13 yrs to go to him. Winder Animal Hospital Dr Downs in Athens is an excellent surgeon. He did my Scooter's heart surgery and I can't say enough good things about him.AVSC Procedures I also found a wonderful cardiologist in Athens, Dr Jacobs of Barker Consulting center where they do ultrasounds. He used to teach at the Athens School of Vet and only does consulting now.BARKER VETERINARY CONSULTING |

Hello! I am new to Yorkie Talk and a new Yorkie mom. Brunswick (SE Georgia) is home. Yes, that's on the coast...the Golden Isles. This is my first Yorkie and she is 7 weeks old. What a sweety! I've already spoiled her...but can't help it. She's so cute and playful! I know so very little about the Yorkie, but I 'm learning so much on this site. :aimeeyork:aimeeyork Karey :aimeeyork:aimeeyork |
I'm from Brunswick (the Golden Isles)....about75 miles south of Savannah. Haven't read the book, but do watch the television shows of The Dog Whisperer. Have tried some techniques on my 9 week old baby and seeing some results. ]:yorkietal Karey |

I am new to YT...but I'm a Yorkie mom in GA! I have a little girl--Toto-- she is almost 3! I am so very much in love with this breed. I researched all kinds of small dogs before I got my Toto, and I don't think I could have made a better decision. In the last three years Toto has been right by my side. She is my baby for sure-- I have no kids. I work nights, so on my nights off when I stay up late she is right there next to me all night long! She is such a great friend! I hope everyone feels the same about their little babies! We are lucky to have them for the time we do! I'm looking forward to spending more time on YT! Thanks for having me! |
Hey! Nice to have you. There's nothing better than a Yorkie! You're from my area, I live in Cochran. Have a super day---or night for you I guess :) Cathy |
Do you also have a maltese? It looks like it in one of your pictures. I have a Yorkie and a maltese....two completely different personalities. Karey |
sorry....message to Shecass Karey |
