| There was a thread on here where we all listed our breeders if we would recommend them. Someone here from TN might be able to help you. I just wanted to welcome you to YT and to wish you luck on your search. |

| thanks for the warm welcome. I did find this list, but the weird thing is, the few breeders I've found online aren't on that list. I've spoken with one breeder VIA e-mail, but I don't know too much else about them. I'll let you know when I find one! |

| Welcome to the site. I am from (West) TN, but I don't know any in your area. I would suggest calling your vet. That way you know the breeder does go to the vet and they can recommend a breeder that keeps healthy dogs and they know what type of people they are and how many litters per year they have and such. It's just a thought but it might be worth a shot. Plus you can call around to groomers too. INMO if the breeder is willing to take the time and trouble to go to the vet regularly and take them to a groomer then you know they care about their dogs. This is only a place to start. When you find one they you can go and see for yourself if it is the right pup you want.

| I would also recommend looking in the classifieds in the newspaper. But make sure that you go visit the puppies and are comfortable with how the parents look, comfortable with the breeder, and comfortable with the conditions in which the puppies were raised before you commit to anything. You will find some bad breeders from ads in the newspaper, but there are also some very good ones. The newspaper is where I found my 2 yorkies. Have you tried looking in Chattanooga? Look in the Chattanooga newspaper...there are always yorkies for sale there. |

| I adopted my yorkie from a breeder slightly north of Knoxville in Lafollette. My yorkie, Sully, is the most gentle-natured, sweet, kind-hearted little dog you've ever met! PM me if you want her info.

| Well, I found a breeder and I got her yesterday... The breeder's website is http://yorkiehousetn.com/ And here is a pic of her (and her brothers and sisters) http://yorkiehousetn.com/sitebuilder...60-337x245.jpg More pics will come I'm sure. She's a little fattie, but the breeder told us that since she's bigger, if we breed her (which we are considering) she wouldn't have as much trouble as a smaller yorkie might... Her name is Ginger. |

| Yep, the fattie! She's currently sleeping in her playpen in my office. Is it normal for yorkie owners to buy baby playpens for the puppies? The yorkie we baby sitted before we got Ginger had one, so we thought if it works for her, why not? |

| I think Ginger is simply adorable. I don't have a play pen. Do yorkies do okay in them? My cousin used to take hers to work with her and let him sleep in the bottom drawer of her desk. And a lady who bought one of my pups wrote back to tell me that she kept hers in a basket beside her desk. She also said everyone kept stopping by and not much work got done. LOL! How old is Ginger now?

| Sorry about the long wait for a reply, I don't usually get online during the weekend (even thought Monday and Tuesday weren't the weekend, but we had a 4 day weekend! ) Ginger is 6 weeks old. She's doing great BTW. Also we took her Bon-Ape-atit ( SP? in Chattanooga, TN) this past saturday and she loved it. |

| I put mine in a playpen and he had climbed out of it and caught up with me before I reached the other end of the house!!! He was lookin' all happy like, "Mommy, do you have any other tricks you want me to do for you today?" Needless to say, we got rid of the playpen!!! LOL!
