I have recently moved to Beaufort SC...I have 2 little babies....Rockzee & Teddy. I need to find a trustworthy vet and groomer in the area. I have been spoiled with my old groomer...there was a lot hugging and kissing...I'm not as worried about the perfect cut. Before we left Pittsburgh Rockzee started to get some problems with her skin so I need to find a vet soon to get started on her problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Did you find a vet and groomer in Beaufort? I live 15 minutes from Beaufort and are picking up my babies on July 31st. Let me know. Thanks,

Congratulations on your new kids!! It was a little tough trying to find new people in the area that I feel comfortable with. I went to a vet for a while because my 4 year old has been developing allergies...started in PA but for the last 6 months she have been terrible with a bad belly and scabs. I went to my second vet after not being real satisfied with the first. Dr. Murray at Beaufort Hosp. She was great, we saw big improvement in a weeks time...this little girl has had problems for so long! Dr Murray is I believe moving to Sea Island Hosp on Ladys Island...If so I will follow her there. I was going to go to Sea Island before Beaufort because I got a lot of good referrals on them. I went to Beaufort because they have 24 hour emergency service...but I hear they will take non patients also. For right now I really like Dr Murray I will go were she is. As for a groomer I shopped around for that too but I could not see dropping my two off in the morning and maybe get a call sometime in the afternoon...they sit in a cage the rest of the time! Mine would hang themselves! I found Tara's Mobile Grooming...she is great! Comes right to my house, costs more ($45/dog)...but in less than 2 hours then look wonderful and we never left home. I hope this helps!

Thanks alot. I was looking at Sea Island Hospital. It's the only one accredited. I'll be sure to ask for Dr. Murray. And thanks for the tip on the mobile groomer. That would be better for me anyway. ![]()

Beaufort Hospital is on Boundary Street isn't it? We will have to have a play date after I get my babies acclimated to their new surroundings.
