WOOHOO for Texas!! I live in south Texas close to the Mexican Border, But I've lived all over Texas throughout my life!! I have one yorkie (for now  ) named Buster and he's 5 months old as of the 1st. Glad to know that other people from Texas love Yorkies just as much as I do!! |
I live right on the tip of Texas. I am glad to hear that there are other Texas Yorkie Lovers near me and that utilize this resource. I am a fairly new Yorkie "mom". I need a lot of help. Does anyone know what type of natural snacks are safe to give our babies?? :) |
Hey everybody! Austin and I wanted to say howdy to our fellow Texans! Austin just turned 7 months old and lives with me near Fort Hood. We are glad to meet all of y'all! |

We live with our 2 yorkies, Lizzy & Cutter, and a Boxer named Beau. We are about 2 hours northeast of Houston in what is concidered southeast texas. We have an 18 year old daughter who has just gotten her own yorkie. She is 14 weeks old and her name is Mia. My daughter is going to join the forum soon and introduce herself and her new puppy. Since the addition of Mia to the family we now have 4 dogs and 3 humans in our home. I told my husband that something was obviously wrong with us for allowing ourselves to be out numbered by dogs. lol. It's nice to see so many other members from Texas. |

Great to see all the Texans. I am owned by two yorkies Maddie, who was two in Feb, she is the sweetest thing. Rudy is 16 months and is a little toot. Lucky(chow-mix) is 15 years old and is a angel and she loves Maddie and Rudy to death. She is the reason why I have two. Two years ago my 17 year old yorkie Max passed away and Lucky was so depressed, she quit eating and just laid on the sofa. Saw I got Maddie, all she wanted to do was play with Lucky, so I wanted Lucky's golden years to be peaceful, so I got Maddie a playmate Rudy and he keeps thing interesting. I am in Beaumont, it's about 60 mile east of Houston. Look forward to talking to you all and seeing pic's of your furbabies..............Cindy |
I don't have a Yorkie yet either! But I'm from Texas so I figured I'd come say Howdy  The search is on for my yorkie as well... |

My Yorkie is a Texan too! :animal-sm Hi, I just joined Yorkie talk yesterday, this is my first post! Hope it works. Sabrina chose me 10 years ago. The breeder had 1 little boy and 2 little girls (I knew I wanted a little girl) and Sabrina just jumped right off the crate (scared me to death) and walked right to me! Ha. I'm starting to really worry about when the time comes that I'll lose her - then what do I do? I love this little thing so much - she only weighs 4.5 lbs. I don't know why - her aunt that my mother has weighs 15 or more ( 5 is snacks - spoiled). What are your experiences? Is it any easier if you have more than one? I've never had more than one house dog at a time. |
Hello all, I'm from The Colony, Texas which is located between Dallas and Denton. I have one yorkie and she is 3 months old. |
LDenise, Yes, I did go to the Yorkie meet up. It was fun. Got to meet Yorkiecrazy and some other ladies, and guys, that aren't on the boards. They are having another meet up on April 16. Millie Bush Dog Park is really cool. I had never even heard of it before. The small dog park is really a quite large area with lots of room for the dogs to run around and visit. They have a little doggy water fountain where they can drink when they're thirsty and a good sized wading pool for some of the dogs that want to water play. There were a couple of schnauzers that were in and out chasing balls in the water. If anyone is close to the Houston area, please try to come. You can get more info at http://yorkie.meetup.com/109/. Thank you |
Just wanted to say Hi to all the other Texans, I haven't been around as much, but now that Im on the look out for another yorkie I'll be visiting more often ;) . I am currently in love with my soon to be year old boy Ranger. He has to be the absolute coolest dog I have ever met, and from what I hear they take after their owners ;) LOL. We currently reside west of Dallas near the DFW airport. For those of you near the DFW area there are yorkie groups on meetup.com, I think there's one in plano and in the Irving area. I have yet to attend one as they tend to occur on my busy weekends, but I'm looking forward to getting out to one in the future to meet up with fellow yorkie owners and their yorkies of course!! |
Hey all you yorkie lovers! I am new to the forum. I live in Conroe, just north of Houston. I have two yorkies, Rascal who is 5 mos., and Roxie who is just 7 weeks. Glad to have found you! |
Hey! I forgot about this section for a bit. I'm from Arlington but I'm in Dallas most of my days since my bf lives there. :p |
Me, too!!! I forgot this part of the forum was here! I live in Houston in the Clear Lake Area. I have a four year old female, Gracie....and a 6 month old male, Avery. They are just precious. Gracie is 6.6 pound, a little curly, and the best doll baby you could ever want. Avery is just like a boy...he's wirey, ornery, 5.8 pounds, and a totally different personality than Gracie. For instance today we went swimming in our pool and Avery couldn't wait to get in with me (as long as I held him!), but Gracie hugged the back door afraid she'd get her hair messed up! They make quite a pair and we adore them both. |
