Miami/Broward Yorkie Meet Up- Sign up HERE! Hello everyone! If you live in Miami-Dade/Broward counties, (or anywhere else in Florida and want to drive a bit) and are interested in getting together with our babies, please post HERE! I have wanted to attend a yorkie get together for a while now, so Esme can play with other yorkies! I need some suggestions for a meeting place and we need to set a date and time. Please reply with: What days are best for you? Do you have a suggestion for the perfect meeting place? I am very excited! Mari |
My answers Please reply with: What days are best for you? Sat or Sundays. It would be better to meet later in the afternoon or early evening when it isn't so hot out. Esme doesn't do so well in the heat for a long period of time. Do you have a suggestion for the perfect meeting place? I've never taken Esme to a dog park, so I don't really know of any great ones. Saturday would be better for me. I know that there is a dog park in Coconut Grove. As for the date, probably in two weeks so that everyone has time to respond and make plans. Esme's mom thank you for coordinating this meet. I can't wait it should be a lot of fun!!!! |

Meet up! Either weekend day would be good for us. :thumbup: Finally this is hopefully going to happen!!!! :thumbup: I don't know about you guys but we take Matise to CB Smith park alot. It is really big and there are a lot of places to go where you are not that close to other people. it's just a suggestion if anybody knows of anything else????? Maybe we can go to the new park Amelia Earhart Park in Hialeah. The park is new, gated and the big dogs are separated from the little dogs. They are strict in that all dogs have to have their rabies shots. Just a suggestion! |

I just got on and saw the PM you sent me Esme's Mom so I came here to check out about the yorkie get-together date. Either Sat. or Sun. would be great with me. I have been to Amelia Earhart Park, also. Anyways let me know which park you have decided and Genie Girl and my family will be there. I think this is a great idea to meet our yorkie family. I know that Babi 1542 is a neighbor of mine but we still haven't met personally even though we have spoken on this site. Can't wait to meet all of you and your babies. |
Play Group! I don't think that CB Smith has a fenced in area :( . And the Earhart park- is it crowded? do a lot of doggies take their owners there? the gated part sounds great though;) Matise is only 3 lbs. on a full tummy ;) so I am always worried about a lot of dogs and ones that are a lot bigger than him. We leave for vacation -home to my parents in Indiana-Kentucky on Friday 07/29 and return on Sun. 08/07 hopefully we can go, or this is for like 2 weekends away. :rolleyes: Either way We, Matise :aimeeyork , me and my husband would love to come and meet all of you and your babies! |

Our Yorkie Meet..... I would love meeting all of the yorkie pups and their Mommies and Daddys....Thank you Esme and Mari for planning it!!!! A Sunday would be wonderful for us b/c my hubby is a mail carryer and works on Saturdays. I am flexible and am willing to go without him on a Saturday if that is what everyone decides on. Would love to go. Any day is Ok with me but like Kara I'm also leaving on the Sept. 28th and returning on Aug. 8th. Someone mentioned that you had to have rabies shots... my Moxie is still too young for his (he's 4.5 mo) Is this a problem? Terry |

We would prefer later in the month if possible....we will be in florida the weekend of 8/6, (we live in NY and come down once a month) and won't be able to make it back the very next weekend...but I understand if you need to do it then, because it works for all else involved!!!! Bandit will miss you all!!! Maybe will catch you on the next gathering... |
