I love the dog park off Glades Rd. They keep it clean and spray for flea-ticks every Wed. I believe. They have a small and large dog sections. The majority of the people I have met there are very nice! My dog Jack, enjoys himself there. It is great for socialization.

Do not go to Pampered Puppy in Margate, Fl off Royal Palm Blvd.

Have you ever been to a doctor's office where a wife or family member works in the office? This usually results in poor customer service. I first thought that Pampered Puppy would be a nice professional family owned place to bring my dog - I was far from wrong! I made an appointment and was then told my dog would not be ready for 4 hours (??!) Why did I make an appointment for my dog to wait in a cage for hours? My 5lb Yorkshire terrier is not fixed due to health reasons - we had him put under to get some baby teeth pulled that never fell out and he almost died. It is MY dog and I made the decision not to get him fixed. The lady in the store that day, was EXTREMELY RUDE. She argued with me for 10 minutes upon the fact that my dog is not fixed and said he will die of testicular cancer ( I have found research that actually states more health concerns can arise and are more common from fixing your dog). Whatever the case is, it is my dog and my decision and as a paying customer I do not feel as though I should be put down for such decision. In short, from my conversation with the groomer and seeing the timid sad looking dogs in the store, I opted not to even get my dog groomed there ( I ended up at Petsmart - where they were very nice and understanding - they even called my vet to make sure my dog was up to date on his shots) Pampered Puppy does not even check dog's shots status! I would never leave my dog with such an ill mannered non-professional place! They can have all the sparkles, bells and whistles but it still does not cover up poor service! Even with a coupon for 5$ off or whatever, if you care about your pet - I would advise not bringing them there!
