I think you did a wonderful job Jaspermom, I went to the Halloween party at Lewis park a couple of years ago....

I'm up for coming, but can't travel really far.

Here's a thought: Lets have a Charlotte and a Greenboro meeting this time. Getting the yorkies together to play is the big thing and we can always exchange pictures so we know what everyone looks like!

I can't drive to Charlotte but can make Greensboro or Kernersville. Spouses are welcome. The meetings don't have to be on the same day for those who want to attend both.

We can do a walk or meet at a tennis court or dog park. We can all bring a x-pen and link them together if we want to use a park and have a picnic.. anything informal that doesn't cost much $$$.

May 10 looks like a good day for me. This is the day before Mother's Day.

Thoughts?

omg! thank you! finally someone who wants to get this show on the road! I'm up for may 10, Is it a saturday? I can start searching parks. Becuase don't we YT'ers want to stay on a budget and not rent a place?

Yes, May 10 is a Saturday. I chose May 10 because there is also Armed Forces Day and Memorial Day in the month and many might be off somewhere for those holidays.

We would need a outdoor place that is safe, and an indoor back up in case it rains.

Okay this is a bark park in Greensboro! There are 3 areas, a for small dogs, b for events, and c is open all the time!!! They are fenced in across 6 acres!
This sounds interesting. It is Greensboro's first off-leash dog park! check it out!!

Except for me...I was like You don't have to walk if you don't want to

But he did and I'm just thankful he graduated summer semester because there was about a third of the students that walked as opposed to spring semester!

This sounds like fun.. May 10 is good for me...

I live near 40 and 95 intersection and Rt 421 if anyone wants to carpool..I will bring just one yorkie...my female is older and would rather stay with my husband (painting the house), so I have some

room..

Bark in the Park 2008

Below are a couple of pictures that I took.

Even if we did not plan to meet the weekend of the Barks in the Park....Davies Park is a great leash free park in a wonderful area of Charlotte.

Actually I've paid for pretty much everything... BUT I'm the first in my family to graduate college.. so its a pretty big day for her.

Anywhere in SC or NC is fine with me. I live in the lowcountry of SC but am from the Rock Hill/Charlotte area. And any reason to go to Clemson is a definite yes for me. I don't pick my babies up until July 31st so it would have to be after that.
