Multiple Quotes I have seen where someone has put multiple quotes by other yt'er in the same reply box. How can that be done?? I only know how to post one person's quote per reply. :animal-pa |
I saw it once recently, and someone asked her how she did it. She actually used different tabs/windows in her internet browser, started a reply to each quote in each, and then copied and pasted each "quote" back into the reply she really posted. A little extra work, but it sure worked out nice. |

It is not on the tool bar for explorer, it is on the tool bar at the top of the message editor (the box you type in). It is right under the paper clip. |
Well, these suggestions make sense! I'm gonna try it next time I need it. |

#1 Hit the "quote" button on one of the ones that you want to respond to. #2 In the message box, highlight (select) and copy (Control-C) their entire post. #3 Hit the "back" button on your browser's toolbar (you'll be returned to thread. But you will still have the one quote copied onto your virtual clipboard). #4 Hit the "quote" button on another one of the ones that you want to respond to. #5 You'll have the new message box open. Leave a couple of blank lines and paste the previously copied quote into this window (Control-V). You should now have both original posts with their names attached. #6 Leave a couple of new blank lines and then add your own clever comments. (Or you can comment BETWEEN the quotes.) This gets a little hairy if you want to do more than two. Okay, now you try and see if I made any sense at all...... :p |

Are you making sure to copy EVERYTHING in the message box? It looks like you might have missed a bracket on the quote that you copied. Try it again. |
Good job! I am still trying!! |
