what is with all the LINK words.
 

Is anyone else getting Green underlined words that are links to things? Or is there something wrong with my computer.

No, nothing wrong with your computer, unless something is wrong with MY computer too!!!! I'm getting them too!!!:D

Here is the other thread regarding this issue..........I really think this is horrible.........There must be other ways to take in revenue besides all of us having to deal with pop-ups all day long. There, I said it.

I don't want to complain but I really don't like these green lines or pop ups. They don't even make sense! They're also very distracting. What can we do to eliminate them? More money?

I dunno. They are easy to ignore, and if they keep YT afloat, so much the better. It might be fun to have a thread to mess with them and see who can get the most green words. LOL. Computer. Headphones. Modem. Server. LOL.

Small price to pay for such a great site. Also, sometimes the words that are associated can be funny. Mommy was associated with search for Mommy on ebay. I laughed.

Anyway, advertising is how the web goes around, and these little pop-ups are not as invasive as many other sites. Good job, admin, I know everything costs money. This site is great, and I want it to be around forever!

I was glad to see this thread because I kept wondering about the green ad deal too. I have also still been having a lot of slowness associated only with this site. Pages don't open very fast, sometimes they just seem to be stuck. Even moving about on a page can seem to have sluggishness. Does anyone know whatever became of the "NEW SERVER" we donated for? Did they ever get it? I have to admit to not really knowing much about a server .... so not sure if they buy it or hook up with them like we do cable.

If anyone is taking a vote -- I would definately vote "NO" to the green things! Very annoying! I'd rather have banner ads than ones inserted within the posts. I know we already have banner ads too. I like making extra money as much as anyone, but geesh! I figured with all the money generated from hundreds of "Donating Members" and the extra fund raising projects from the last few months, the site might be solvent enough.

If they are here to stay without regard to anyone's opinion; well, maybe we can alternate colors. Blue would be nice, or maybe a nice magenta? LOL! Okay, so I am grasping for humor so I don't get shot in the foot! ;) Hate to even complain as I enjoy this site so much. I know the site "belongs" to someone -- but it feels like we all have a vested interest.
